Does your daughter want to settle down with a man like you and your son a woman like you?

That's a very thought provoking question and honestly we teach our kids what they deserve.

The home is the first place a child learn what they are worth and it begins from infancy.

A home where there's so much yelling and fussing makes a child thinks it okay to be toxic and accept a toxic partner because they grew up like that.

A home where it's hard to compliment the child for their good work makes them feel it's abnormal to be appreciated. It also affect their self-esteem because they get criticized all the time.

Parenting is a huge responsibility and should be shouldered with grace and discernment.

It begins with communication through words and deeds. It also involves being a good leader.

Jax - Like My Father

This song is one of a kind that sends out a very powerful message to every parent out there.

The kids sees everything you do, through your actions you can teach them not to settle for less.

Teach them they deserve to be treated with respect, love and kindness.

Love begins with friendship. It takes time to nurture friendships. It takes dedication, commitment, forbearance, compassion, tolerance, forgiveness, selflesdness and patience.

The home should be a safe haven where everybody loves to be. Parents can be an inspiration to their kids as to what they would love to experience from their future partner.

It helps them too to be a better person and give off the same energy they would love to receive.

Some fathers eventually turn their back against their wives when their shape begins to change. Some mothers begin to talk down on their husbands simply because he's out of job. All of these can have a negative effect on the kids at home.

Some family doesn't even have a good relationship between one another, they are like enemies but living under a roof.

Parents should teach their kids that some chores are not gender based like cooking, washing and other basic chores, they are actually life skills.

When a man becomes loving from childhood he goes out to be an amazing dad and husband, and same goes to the woman. A man should be able to share his pain, and not bottle his feelings. He should be soft to a fault.

Teach your girl child that her body needs to be respected. When it's within your reach, get her the fancy things she needs so that she doesn't go out there looking for a boy to perform a fatherly duty thereby subjecting herself to an unjust treatment.

Everyone out there developed some of their trait through the kind of home they grew up from. Will you love your son to settle down with a woman who behaves exactly like you? And your daughter a man who behaves exactly like you? If no is your answer now is your chance to do better.

Indeed, 90% of who we are are reflection of the kind of family we came from unless we make conscious effort to right the wrongs of the ones we learnt.
But it'll be wonderful if parents could do better as it will make the world a better place to be

Yeah it really would be wonderful. Thanks for taking out time to read me. Have a nice day.

You're welcome

Seriously, parenting is an Arduous task

Yes it is.

I recently saw a trend where men were yelling "God forbid" when they were asked if they would let their daughters marry someone like themselves. Although it was hilarious, it steered up a lot of debate.

I love your song choice✨
