It is said that when a great man is Praised and appreciated for the little thing he has done he will be more encouraged to do more. Even some strong and powerful men that are stingy will have no choice but to give to the one is continously follow them and chanting praises towards them publicly in order to save themselves from the shame of not being a good giver.
As we draw closer to Christmas day, I know that many families will have already prepared themselves in ways that will be sophisticated and fun.
Many homes must have been decorated, in fact Christ is a true king. Many people must have bought some new set of clothes in order to look good and when it comes to food, those who have enough money must have already gone to the markets before now and buy many things gs in bulk so that there won't be need to leave home anytime soon after Christmas celebration.
God has really been faithful to my family and I feel this Christmas season is a good moment to join hands together and say thank you lord for everything that he has done in our lives. Though there may be challenges, you Lord made us live through it. Though hundreds of thousands of people may have passed out this year in the world but lord in your infinite mercy I hear of bad news and see some with my eyes but never became part of it and it's not because I am different or better than anyone in anyway.
Somehow I'm beginning to feel that Christmas will not be complete without Thanksgiving because the one being celebrated teaches us to always give thanks and the importance of prayer in our lives.
It is one thing to remember the birth of Jesus Christ and it is another thing to learn and follow his teachings and footsteps.
Jesus has laid down foundations on the right way to live the life of holiness. There is not much we can achieve if we live the life on earth, hoping fully we'll it all ends here but lose the main goal. Thinking about Christ's ministry, he came at a time when the people of Israel already have priest and they have teachings and rules to keep in order to maintain God's presence in their lives. When Jesus came and started preaching the people noticed a difference in his lifestyle and teaching, it is one thing to tell someone to not fornicate and it is another thing to avoid fornication on your own as the preacher. The pharisees who teach the word of God but was not living completely in accordance to God's will saw their weaknesses and deep down within themselves they knew if they allowed Jesus that they will be entirely exposed may possibly maybe stoned or people may just lose faith in them completely.
That was when they even plotted another evil and committed another grievous sin, though it fulfilled the prophecies of the old concerning Jesus.
This clearly shows how one sin begets another, I've really learnt somethings in the Bible and also have examined it with the things I see in this present day. When God said in his commandments, thou shall not lie, you shall not fornicate and also commit adultery and you shall not kill. I found out that he was not actually saying all this to man for Man to help him but his laws and commands were given to us for us to help ourselves. Also i found out that sin attracts sin or kind of interconnected with other of its form. Take for instance, in the ten commandments where God declared to avoid fornication. Now today many seem to enjoy the sin of fornication as though it is normal even though it's not. Through fornication many have contacted diseases that cost them a lot to heal themselves, through the same fornication many have died through diseases, through the same fornication many have gotten pregnant which they're not ready for and in the process have killed the baby in order to maintain their peace of mind and comfort. So from fornication, killing surfaces and joins the game.

Interestingly through fornication and adultery, lying can join the atrocity. Why? Because when one starts committing adultery as a married person, he or she will yell so much lies to cover their ways. If pregnancy happens there will be lies to cover up and if one can't bear the shame and terminates the baby, killing has gotten involved. Also within the ten commandments it is written do not covet your neighbors wife or his property. If one is a fornicator he will definitely be guilty of breaking other laws and the end comes with punishment and regrets. It amazes me how all the laws given by God especially on the ten commandments is inter connected with each other.
God will definitely see us through in our journey of life because it is not easy and we cannot live a life that is up to his standards with asking for the guidance of his holy spirit.
Indeed Christmas should always be a season to remember and I thank God that by his grace we are about to witness another beautiful time of the season. To some of us now, this is our 30th Christmas celebration since we got to know what Christmas is all about and to some, this is our 56th Christmas celebration. Honestly, if there's no other thing to be happy about we should be thankful for life. Both for our lives and the lives of the ones we love.
