I don't know if I screamed, gasped, or just stood still. But what I do know is that I started listening and it was fantastic. Bringing back old memories, I couldn't help the smile that graced my lips as I breathed slowly, knowing her songs were an inspiration to many.

Fairly speaking, I have never met someone who isn't a fan of Whitney Houston, or maybe it is just the group of people I relate with. Her music soothes your soul and shows you worlds beyond your reasoning.

Anytime I pass by somewhere and hear the sound of her voice from the radio, I can't help smiling as it seems to me that she is very much alive. And she sure is. Every album of hers reminds people of who she was. A musical icon and more. Her songs feel recent to me, like she was reborn into this world and kept on singing.

I have been a very huge fan of hers since my childhood days, and the feeling I get from listening to her songs is now even stronger because they are part of me.

Her songs not only inspire me but also have a good effect on me. I think my earrings are best thanks to her soft jelly voice, which warms my heart to the very core, and I can't help not fall in love with her. She is a woman I respect, and I am glad that I knew her through her songs, though I would have loved to meet her physically, but that won't be possible anyway.

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was an American singer, actress, film producer, and philanthropist.

She was born on August 9th, 1963, and died February 11th, 2012, so my meeting up with her won't be possible, sadly. However, with her songs, she is more alive than ever. Yesterday was her posthumous birthday πŸŽ‚ πŸ₯³ and I wished I had celebrated her earlier. But today is still valid, so I'll be sharing some of her songs to brighten up your day as they did mine.

Starting with step by step, I moved to try it on my own. But I didn't stop there, I chose I have nothing and ended it with her most popular rhythm I will always love you. Have fun listening in and don't forget to take life step by step and never give up on life no matter what. You can take a rest, take time to breathe, remember step by step you'll get there soon enough.

Step by step; Whitney Houston.

Try it on my own; Whitney Houston.

I have nothing;Whitney Houston.

And because she is an icon whose song has changed a lot of people's lives, I am sharing just one more popular song of hers.

I will always love you; Whitney Houston.

Still yours truly,

Thanks for reading and listening.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
