We're in a world where trust is far away from us. A world where we trust and love with caution.
I got inspiration to write this topic from a song I heard yesterday it's none other than "impossible" by James Arthur.
I was on a road trip to pay a visit to a rural community to enlighten locals on the some good health tips. I plugged in my earpiece when this song started playing. I felt every emotion and got the message instantly. I realized just how much truth was embedded in it. The lyrics talks about not placing our trust in people. It talks about someone who's heart was broken into pieces after laying all his trust on his love partner whom he thought would never hurt him. Despite warning from friends, he went ahead and submitted his heart into the wrong hands.
Sometimes in life, we feel we can trust a certain person, and we place so much hope on that person forgetting that we're all humans. Least we forget humans tend to disappoint, it's just how nature goes. The song caught my attention because I've been a victim of this. I've placed my heart and trust in wrong hands, too many times and trust me when I tell you that I always got disappointed.
These days I anticipate the worst from the people I hold to high esteem because life is like a wave, nothing is certain or assured, someone you thought was calm today could change into a violent person tomorrow, someone you thought you could lean on today could let you fall into an ocean of regret.
While our bus drove down the smooth highway, I reminisced on past events, and people, people who made me learn a lesson in life, people who inspired me to write this post under the influence of the song which vibrated from my eardrums, into my head, then transmitted into the deepest chambers of my heart. Don't underestimate the power of music, for therein lays life and memories.
Well, the only person you can trust in life is yourself, Atleast that's what I think. That's why you shouldn't seek validation from people who're around you before going for what you feel is best for yourself, you might be just seeking validation from a fox disguised as a sheep.
The more we learn to keep our hearts under control, the better for us. Imagine living a life where you expect the worst from anyone and everyone, I mean, nothing would ever come as a surprise to us. Expectations decreases and awareness increases.
Just like the song said "impossible," nothing would ever seem impossible to us if we dive into this reality — only then we will be open to the possibility of every single occurrence happening.
I guess this is a perfect way to keep our hearts and emotions under the atmosphere of peace.
