Nothing beats the feeling you get when you share something with someone, no matter how little it might be or insignificant the idea might be at first. Some weeks back, I was having a conversation with my Friendy as I call him. We agreed to make a playlist together. At first, I was wondering what use it will be for, I mean, we could just create our different playlists. Well, I’m glad my Friendy kept reminding me about it and in the end, we finally made our playlists, together.
The first thing we did was to make a list of the songs we would want to be on our playlists. We both have a lot of songs we liked together and those where the songs we added first to the list and then, we both made suggestions of different songs we liked individually. My Friendy is a huge fan of animes so he suggested some anime songs. For me, I love Korean movies so I suggested a Korean song I like so much. My Friendy didn't really like it but we still left it on the list anyways since it’s a song one of us like.
After making a list of the songs we wanted, we went to Spotify to create our playlists. We had to pick a name for the playlist and after so many suggestions, we settled for something we think was cool. We finished setting up our playlists and it was really so nice to listen to it together before going to bed that day. I was so excited about having something like that with Mhiz because we both love music and when we listen to those songs on our playlists, we will always tend to think about each other and I find that really cute and sweet!
The idea of having a playlist was a really cool one and I’m glad my Friendy suggested it. Yesterday was his birthday so I decided to give him a song gift. I added three songs to the playlists but one of them was specially for him as a birthday gift and I was so happy he liked it. That’s the last song on our playlist now. I personally loved the song from the first time I heard it and that was why I was a little bit confident that he’d love it and I’m happy I estimated right.
I want to use this opportunity to wish him a Happy Birthday once again. Yesterday was your birthday but it felt like it was mine because I kept smiling that my cheeks hurt. I’m grateful for how everything went. I know you had a few things that tried to make your day go south, but God loves you and he gave you more reasons to be happy, thankful and blessed. And I feel more blessed to be with you every step of the way.
@justfavour I know I have said thank you a few times but here I am saying thank you again for everything, thank you for the gift of you, for your love, your support, your thoughtfulness, your understanding and just everything. Thank you for being really patient with me. Thank you for listening to me, correcting me when necessary, complimenting me when I do things right and being there for me when I need help to do something better.
I pray to God everyday for you and I trust him to answer my prayers for you, for us. The fact that our paths crossed wasn’t a mistake, it is something designed by God because he is the only one that bring good things to us. I pray we will continue to have more February 14s to celebrate together and I pray that as you grow older, even in the face of challenges you will always have a reason to be happy, grateful and loved.
I love you, Friendy. As you flip through the new pages of this new chapter, everything might not go as you want it but I believe it will end with smiles and laughter. Thank you for the playlist too, it was your idea and now I have another way to get me happy when I’m feeling down.
Your new age won’t just be another year, but it would be a new year indeed. ❤️
