I'm a thief, you are a thief too, we all are guilty of this act one way or the other. If you recreate any form of art, you are a thief, every creative out there is a thief, Nobody will tell you this, all we hear is stealing is wrong but no art is 100% original.
In music you improvise, recreate a tune from another tune to make it look like yours but is it really yours? The inspiration you get to write that article did it come from inside of you? or birthed from someone eases idea? or perhaps from a conversation, a movie or a captivating poster, or a life experience?
Here is your permission to go out there and steal, but my dear, steal with some skills, recreate, put in your own efforts, and some twists make it yours take charge.
Recently I have been making some cover videos, doing other peoples songs with my guitar, but there is some level of my own effort, first I score the song, practice over and over again, make a video and edit before putting it out there, that's how to steal.
A lot of us here on Hive including myself, use Canva and some other photo editing apps , with in-built templates to steal from. The ability to recreate and build upon other peoples material or ideas makes you different from the regular thief (plagiarism), the ability to reinvent, improvise and recreate shows you got skills.
Go out there and steal, create your own magic, no art is 100% original , every idea or art has a source from whence it draws its inspiration from.
You are unique special and made of magic, Your magic might be triggered by someone else directly or indirectly, feel free to explore other peoples ideas, you would be amazed how it could help discover your true self.
