Music is vast, so many artists in the past, many now and many more to come so it's kinda like a difficult one to pick a favourite or role model in music as a music lover. But there is one thing about First Love and I think it applies to music too. I've loved so many artists for their voices, music style and the genre of songs they sing. To state the obvious, old songs are indeed gold.
As a music lover, I grew up fantasizing about an artist that my dad made me love right from the moment I could listen to songs even though I had little or no understanding of what the songs meant. I'm not the best singer but I enjoy singing from childhood and the love is still very much active. In my fantasy, I picture myself being like Celine Dion in many ways that I love about her.
Talk of iconic personalities in music, Celine Dion is on the top list. Her songs have made a huge impact in the music industry and even though it's been a while she released a new song, her songs still lives on. The one song that lives rent free in the head of many is "My Heart Will Go On", the soundtrack used in the popular movie "Titanic". A favourite but not the song that made me love her.
I can remember many years ago, when I was still around 7 - 8 years old, dad introduced my siblings and I to an artist that stood out in a music album he brought home. We would listen to her songs when we go to bed and dad wakes us up with her songs in the background. Now that I think about it, we didn't had much power issues in that place so dad used it in giving us a favourite somehow.
I went from "She is an amazing singer" to "I want to be like her" since I started listening to Celine Dion sing. Many times, you'll find me trying to sing her songs like she does. It's never perfect but I feel closer to her when I do that. Celine Dion is one of the modest and beautiful singer I know, I love modest and I've noticed she appears on stage with modest wears most of the time.

Her songs? They have got the best lyrics that just anyone would relate to especially if they are into songs like that. I want to sing songs that are relatable and make huge impact on the public like hers. The video above did a small throwbacks to her top 10 iconic songs that have made it big in the music history. Her looks, her smiles and her voice are all enviable, and I wish I have one.
Her voice! I came across a video clip of a lady who mimics Celine Dion so well, I keep wishing I could at least be like that. Someone who looks like Celine Dion but can not be Celine Dion, it's one of my fantasy growing up and still one I'll explore if I grab the chance to. So share yours.
