Hello guys!
I was going through my feeds as I came online not quite long and I saw this post from a very good friend of mine @ksam.
I stopped to read and I enjoyed it.
However, I had to slide in his dm to ask him more about this which actually led to me participating too. I trust it's sure gonna be fun!
I used his questions as a guide for my post anyways!
Yes I am a musician that really have passion for music. I play the piano, guitar drums and I sing too.
I had passion for music ever since I've been a child!
I started with drums, which I really have passion for as my first instrument.
However, my drive for music has brought me this far to be able to reply this question confidently that "I am a musician"
Well, it's such a pity that I don't have a neighbour that is a musician. How I wish I do, it'll have been fun lol..
They are the academic types.
Especially my next door neighbour, she lives a triangle life.
From school to church to her house that's why I called it a triangle based life!
These are the musical kits with me here.
That's my acoustic guitar.
I use her in most of my musical posts!
Mehn!!
She produces quality sound that so yummy.
I score songs with her.
I score songs with this earbuds most of the time... most especially when I don't want to disturb people around me with the loud sound of my sound box!
Wow, this question is such an interesting one.
How should I start? Well, It's only my sister that plays drums.
I started putting her through in the year 2019 / 2020 before the pandemic "covid19"
She really learnt fast and was good to some extent before before she left Nigeria for Europe!
Meet my sister
It's so funny I'm the only one that's musically loaded in my family.
Lol.
It's always fun to some extent and it becomes boring when I find it real difficult to score the song.
But then, when scoring a song, I like adding my own signature to make the song a bit unique from the original song.
Even most time when I'm learning fills from drums, I get some likely inspiration and add it to mine to make my drum fills unique!
This is the drums I practice with most of the times
And this is me in 2021 trying to score a song with the choir in the church.
I was looking tired though. I've tried over and over. "I hope you'll be able to notice the tiredness from the side view
You did notice right?
Yes I do!
I find joy.... just that if it gets so intense, I might get bored!
Yes I do!
Some years ago, I guess in 2017, i was invited to play drums for a large musical concert!
The sound engineer got me frustrated though, So I continued with arrangement of the drums and sound check before the main event started.
The drums was positioned on a stage that is so noticeable.
So as the main concert started, the choir mounted the stage to sing.
Not knowing to me that the drum sit isn't balanced!
As I made attempt to sit, you know the rest..... I fell like a ripe mango!
I was embarrassed! Lol. "A day I won't forget though"
Well, my mom and I used to fight almost every times. Because, most of the times when I try practicing the drums, it disturbs her and even the neighbour.
Our church is so close to the house, so I take time to practice there, but whenever I start, it's always a tug of war between myself and my mother.
Asides that, my aunt would say "you sound like a frog" whenever I try rehearsing vocals!
Well, I didn't give up.
And here I am today still doing my best.
No!!!
I don't like listening to music so loud.
As loud as my music box is, I haven't increased it to the highest before!
I was told all of a sudden from the fellowship in my school that I'll be leading the praises!
Unfortunately, I wasn't online when the message came in on WhatsApp plus the fact that I was asleep late in the evening.
As I woke up to pee in the middle of the night, I saw this message and I really had to prepare.
So i plugged in my earphones and boom, I started singing out loud..... unknowing to me that I was disturbing my neighbours!
I love listening to "Beggie Beggie by Ayra Star"
I so much love that music mehn!
No!!
I don't think anyone will, not in Nigeria.
My neighbours, especially my next door neighbour listens to gospel music most especially "Tasha Cobbs"
And it edifys!
I must really say I'm grateful to you for reading up to this point. And I hope you found this interesting!
Thanks to @mipiano for organizing this amazing contest and also a huge appreciation to @edje the admin of this lovely community.
