First of all, I am so happy to be back on Hive. I really and truly missed the people, the communities, the diversity, the trials and errors, the wins, and the failures I experienced while exploring this platform.
...Ooouuuh!
It's been a ride; Life has been a ride!
As I pen down my thoughts, I'm smiling from chin to chin because I've looked forward to this moment for a while, and being alive to actually write this is so surreal.
Singing and Writing are two major things that give me so much joy and happiness and not being able to share both on here, made me really sad for a while.
...However, against all odds, I am finally here...
Have you found yourself in a place where you felt like life was chasing you and you couldn't stop to catch your breath? Yes? No? Okay! That was me in the past 1 year.
I tweaked a popular catchphrase in my country to say...
...Let Peaq breathe, don't suffocate her, she deserves it 😅...
It truly felt like I was underwater for a while and needed to come up for air but just couldn't. I mean a whole lot was at stake. It was one thing after the other and another!
Sigh... What a life!
The long story short was that I had a lot of clashing activities that came up in my life within this timeline. Simply navigating each of them and staying consistent on Hive soon became far-fetched and unattainable.
I would come on Hive from time to time to read and listen to posts from my faves, especially @mipiano whose posts are always filled with a unique sense of humour and whose magic fingers I could watch playing beautifully for years to come.
Visiting my fave communities with more focus on #QInspired-by-Music was another highlight in those moments and I appreciated seeing the growth of new members and the consistency of old ones.
Just looking back at the moments spent here and how this was a major outlet for me in so many ways, I felt a deep sense of appreciation.
In a recent conversation with my friends, I recommended Hive to them as a therapy tool for self-expression, especially with how much we are going through as individuals and as a country.
Of course, this community was top on my list of recommendations as it gave me the ability to freely express my musical self whether through writing or just singing, or even enjoying other's respective expressions and perspectives.
Being a member of this community inspired me so much even in my classical music journey offline. New ideas were birthed, new goals are currently being achieved, and a renewed sense of gratitude is formed.
Currently, I have been able to find some balance in my life. I am not sure how long it will last 😂 but I have learned to seize every moment and make the best out of it.
My job and other side projects threw me off a bit. I struggled to have a life alongside managing these activities.
It was like sleep-work-sleep-repeat.
Thankfully, a number of projects have been successfully completed and calm has been restored.... or so I hope.
Last night, I was brainstorming on topics to share with this community and I came up with a good number of engaging ones. As I read through a good number of posts shared here, I am genuinely encouraged, inspired, and motivated.
I have learned to list out everything I am grateful for in life. In light of this post, here are five things I am grateful for especially for being a part of the Q-Inspired community:
- Being exposed to diverse musical writings and experiences.
- Being able to share my musical writings and experiences.
- The platform to make new friendships with mutual musical interests.
- Understanding the impact of ensemble musical experiences.
- Learning, Unlearning, and Relearning music ideas.
As always, I am back and super Q-Inspired (Pun intended😅) to continue sharing and expressing my best self and I am hoping to learn from and inspire others in this journey.
Hey @mipiano, your girl is back and better. To say I missed you is an understatement 😂. Oh well, I look forward to binging on your posts I have missed and the ones still to come. I hope you have been doing amazing!
Hey Q-Inspired, why are you grateful for this community? Has it been as impactful to you as it has to me? What posts of yours will you like me to read (you are welcome to share the links or titles in my comment section)?
Let's get the conversation going!
