Today, I'll show you a bunch of old photographs taken on two occasions during the summer of 2015.
This red pole that signals the presence of submerged rocks visible only when the tide is very low was photographed on the 1st of July 2015. As you can see, the weather in my area wasn't windy. The sea in the Bay of Liznjan was very calm ...
... and the moon above the coastal scenery was full.
On my rambling across the meadows, I came across this paper wasp that has lost its wings somehow. Or was born with a malformation? I don't know.
The name of the species is Polistes gallicus.
Here you can see me climbing one of the bales of hay left on the sunny meadow. The area I'm showing you here is called Marlera. The place already appeared in quite a few of my older posts.
Here you can see more hay stored in neat bales.
These hay bales definitely help a flat landscape look more interesting. In the following photograph ...
... which is an autoportrait in the mirror, I'm equipped & ready for the beach. The selfie was taken earlier that day. Before that, in the morning, I've done some work in the yard.
I was using a pickaxe, and at one point, that old tool malfunctioned. I had to stop the work. I started to explore the malfunctioning pickaxe, and while thinking about how to fix it, I discovered that some tools are more entertaining when their primary function is disabled. I started playing with that thing, and soon I got inspired to take a series of photographs that show the unexpected pickaxe action in my room. I almost invented a new martial art style on that hot summer day.
Much later, in the evening, I photographed some mysterious lights in the sky above Marlera.
On the 7th of July 2015, very early in the morning, I parked my car in the coastal area near Liznjan's harbor and took a walk along the sea there. The weather was unusually cloudy ...
... and a strong wind was blowing.
Here you can see a detail from one of the many small, makeshift piers of the harbor.
Here you can see some construction elements that were laying on the lawn near the shore. A house was being built not far from there.
The tide was pretty low. In this photograph, you can take a look at the small wooden boat stranded in the mud.
After taking this photograph, which shows another set of details from the harbor ...
... I sat in my car ...
... and drove to Marlera.
Here you can see an abandoned building that was once part of the military base.
Here you can see some electricity-related details photographed on the building's front facade, near the main entrance.
The weather was still cloudy, and the wind was relentless.
Here you can see the vast scenery and my small dog in it.
Some hours later, in the afternoon, the clouds dissolved and the sky was clear & blue.
But the wind was still there. These photographs were taken on the small peninsula in the Bay of Medulin. Near the harbor of my hometown which is also called Medulin. The name of the peninsula is Vizula. This place also appeared quite a few times in my older posts here on HIVE.
Here you can see the oysters on the flat coastal rocks covered with a layer of algae and mud.
In the evening, at home ...
... I photographed a friend ...
... and my two big dogs.
And that's it.
