Greetings and salutations Hivers. Today let's go into another Three Tune Tuesday post.
As always, thanks to @ablaze for making this series. Lots of people participate in it! Follow the tags to find a ton of good music recommendation.
Today I have another mix of different genres. Trying to keep switching things up to stay interesting.
Neil Young - Heart of Gold
What can you really say about this song? I'm sure most of you have heard it and have an opinion on it. I didn't really know what songs I wanted to write about today. All I knew was that I wanted something with a mellow sound. I laid my head back and cleared my mind and the chorus to this one popped in my head. There we go!
This is a pretty good performance of it.
The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
Not really mellow. Hmm. Well, the sound arguably could be considered mellow, but the lyrics aren't exactly what would bring that word to your mind. Oh well, what can I say.. for some reason this song popped in my head as the perfect following song to Heart of Gold.
Joanna Newsom - Good Intentions Paving Company
This is one you guys may not be as familiar with, though it is almost 15 years old at this point. The song showcases Newsom’s distinctive blend of folk and baroque pop, highlighting her intricate harp and piano arrangements alongside her unique vocal style. It's a bit of a strange one, a little surreal compared to the previous two, but I've always dug it.
So what's your favorite?
