Today I learned a little bit about this stinkbug, and there is only slight differences between several species. Today what I have for you is this Riptortus linearis. Riptortus linearis is a species of true bug in the family Alydidae It is a pest of sorghum in India) This species mostly feeds on the legumes, and they are very similar with the rice-ear bug which mostly feed on the rice grain.
This one has a broader head, with the hind legs slightly thin with several torn can be seen. While the rice ear bug, the hindleg is very slim.
BUt mostly the coloration and the body shape is almost identical. so if you have any other idea or suggestion about this species, please let me know.
Here in this photo, you can see that it has a rather broad and flat head. and that is the reason I believe that this is Riptortus linearis, and also I found it in the garden, not anywhere near the ricefield.
