Today I have a few assorted spiders for today. these are some fo the shots that I get a little bit soft and artistically blurry at least for me. And I got all of them here in my small garden in my house. As I sad so many times that I love to have them in my garden, because I used them as the protector against pest for my garden, against flies or mosquitoes who might resting on the plants before decided to enter my house, so these guys are my first line of defense.
all of them are from different families, as they have very different characteristics and also appearance.
The first one that I have today is this small jumping spider. I was trying really hard to keep up with its movement so that I could have better photos of this guy. But this little guy is very agile and fast, and that day decided just to leave me without giving me a chance to get as many photos as I want.
The second one is this green grass crab spider. it might come from the genus Oxytate, commonly known as grass crab spiders, comprises a homogenous group of nocturnal crab spiders (family Thomisidae). And just like most of the crab spiders, they are a very good hunter, and mostly relly on the ambush strategy. it will wait for its prey to come close to its waiting position, before attacking them with a surprised movement.
look at the color and the shape of this spider. It has a totally green color body which blends so nicely with the leaf, and the thin body which could lay flat in the leaf further concealing its presence.
And I was really disappointed with this last spiders species that I found. This was the first time I had seen this kind of spider here in my house, but somehow it blew up my chance. This is the ant-mimicking spiders, as you can see that you might think that this is just a normal red ant. But it has 8 legs which is one indicator that it is a spider, also it has at least 6 eyes, just like most of the spider.
But this spider moved so fast, not even want to stay a little bit so that I could have a chance for sharp shots. I have to stop its movement, just like the one below, but the focus point of my camera was not great, and the second after I took this shot it already moved away.
And the last attempt was when it jumped into my hand. Which I managed to get a better shot, at least a little bit sharper than the one above. after this shot the spider just fell down from my hands, into the ground, and then went from my sight. It was an exciting encounter, as it was the first time I saw it, but also a sad one as I didn't get great shots. Hopefully I will find this guy again next time, so that I can get better result next time.
