Today, I'm going to share with you my first children's book where I lovingly illustrated 8 pages.
"The Midnight-Colored Jaguar" tells the adventures of a young jaguar with midnight-colored fur and was inspired by a mix of my personal experiences.
Inspirations behind the story
The main inspirations for "A Onça Cor de Meia-Noite" were:
A friend commented that her son was afraid of the dark, so I decided to create a story for children to lose their fear of the dark, showing that even in the dark, we have our inner light to shine.
My beloved Zoe played a significant role in shaping the character of the jaguar.
Wild animals from the Amazon and the diverse wildlife of the forest were the setting chosen for the story, which allowed me to use my imagination.
The magic of midnight, the time of transition from one day to the next, and the concept of circadian rhythm gave a mystical touch to the story.
The Circadian Cycle influenced the way the story unfolds, reflecting the natural rhythms of life and nature.
The story
The book was illustrated with a childlike image style to not only captivate children but also adults.
I used my pseudonym, Luh Duque to narrate the adventures of the midnight-colored Jaguar in a forest in search of self-knowledge.

For those who don't know me yet, I'll tell you a little about myself.
I'm Luciana Abrão, a contemporary digital artist specializing in modern surrealism.
I run a design studio called LAStudio, where I work on marketing, advertising and visual arts.
I have a degree in Marketing and Advertising with a specialization in Design Art.

My love for art began in childhood, when I received a colorful drawing kit as a gift. This passion has stayed with me ever since.

The protagonist's journey through the enchanted forest, besides being an adventure tale, is also a story of courage, hope and the beauty found in life's challenges.

"A Onça Cor de Meia-Noite" conta as aventuras de uma jovem onça com pelo cor de meia-noite e foi inspirada por uma mistura de minhas experiências pessoais.
Inspirações por trás da história
As principais inspirações para "A Onça Cor de Meia-Noite" foram:
Uma amiga comentou que o filho dela tinha medo do escuro, então, decidi criar uma história para as crianças perderem o medo do escuro mostrando que mesmo na escuridão, temos nossa luz interior para fazer brilhar.
Minha amada Zoe teve um papel significativo na formação do personagem da onça.
Animais selvagens da Amazônia e a diversa vida selvagem da floresta foi o cenário escolhido para a história, que me permitiu usar a imaginação.
A magia da meia-noite, a hora de transição de um dia para o outro, e o conceito de ritmo circadiano deram um toque místico à história.
O Ciclo Circadiano influenciou a maneira como a história se desenrola, refletindo os ritmos naturais da vida e da natureza.
A História
O livro foi ilustrado com um estilo de imagem infantil para não somente cativar as crianças mas também os adultos.
Usei meu pseudônimo, Luh Duque para narrar as aventuras da Onça cor de meia-noite em uma floresta em busca do auto conhecimento.

Midnight's Colored Jaguar
A Magical Adventure in the Enchanted Jungle
There was an enchanted forest where the moon shed its silvery glow, transforming everything into a magical kingdom. In the heart of this forest lived the midnight-colored jaguar, a majestic and mysterious creature.
The Midnight-colored jaguar had fur so dark that it resembled the starry sky on a moonless night.
Her eyes, however, shine with a soft, tranquil light, like little golden lanterns lightning the path for the others jungle animals.
One day, the forest animals noticed that their colors were fading, losing their brightness and vivacity. They felt sad and discouraged.
It was then that the Curious Rabbit decided to look for the midnight-colored jaguar to discover the secret of their unique coat.
The jaguar, upon hearing about the sadness in the forest, smiled kindly and invited all the animals to go on a night journey. Under the silver light of the moon, the jaguar guided them along secret paths and enchanted clearings.
At each stop, the magic of the forest was revealed. Night butterflies danced, returning their colors in more intense and brilliant tones, revealing a spectacle of brilliant colors!
The midnight-colored Jaguar told a secret, and explained that true magic was in appreciating the beauty in darkness, finding light where you least expect it.
The animals of the forest learned to value the night and the unique beauty that each one possessed. The colors shone again, and the forest shone in a harmony of magical tones.
Since then, the midnight-colored jaguar has become the guardian of the enchanted forest, always ready to share his wisdom and guide the animals on nocturnal journeys, reminding everyone that true magic lies in seeing the light in the darkness.
