Today is a sad day in music history, Bon Scott passed away 45 years ago today. He died at the age of just 33, a terrible death that I don't want to describe. Bon Scott was the frontman of AC/DC, the Australian mega rock band. He was not a founding member, but replaced Dave Evans in 1974, stayed for 6 years until his death and helped write the success of AC/DC.
Bon Scott also co-wrote the albums High Voltage, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Let There Be Rock, Powerage, If You Want Blood You've Got It and Highway to Hell. He was also involved in the album Back in Black, which is said to be a tribute album to him and he didn't write anything for it.
Incidentally, as a fun fact, there is a song on the album Let There Be Rock called Whole Lotta Rosie, which is dedicated to a somewhat corpulent lady called Rosemaree Garcia, who had a one-night stand with Bon.
