Hello my fellow Hive headbangers!
It's been a while since I've done one of these so I figured what better time than my favourite holiday...HALLOWEEN!
Here is my spooky selection of bangers to get you in to the spirit!
1. Bloody Hammers - Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
First up is the US gothic hard rockers, Bloody Hammers. They are a band that I've enjoyed for a few years now due to their simple but catchy riffs, refreshing attitude of not taking themselves too seriously and ability to have fun with their imagery/lyrics. This track comes from their 2019 offering titled 'The Summoning'.

2. Cathedral - Hopkins (Witchfinder General)
Next up is legendary doom metal band Cathedral from my own country of England. This song is a homage to the 60's film 'The Witchfinder General', which is based on a real English witch hunter named Matthew Hopkins. Hopkins was active between 1644-1647 and presided over more accusations of witchcraft than any other person in English history.

3. Ghost - Hunter's Moon
Lastly, one of my favourite bands of recent years...GHOST! The Swedish grammy winning collective headed by songwriter and vocalist Tobias Forge have managed to transcend any one particular style while never failing to blow my mind with the quality of their songwriting. Hunter's Moon came from their most recent album IMPERA and also featured on the soundtrack to the movie 'Halloween Kills'.
