Hello friends, how are you?
Yes, I know it took a while and I was even scared by how much time had passed since my last post about my Collections series. In this article I will continue with my project of bringing more and more music to the Leo ecosystem.
One way to organize myself and have the possibility of listening to my favorite songs at any time I want here at INLEO, will be through these articles that will serve as a kind of “musical library”.
In this edition it will be Charlie Brown Jr, another Brazilian band that has attracted generations through their works. For those who enjoy good music, you will undoubtedly appreciate this rock band with touches of their unique and attractive musical styles.
A little about me with music
Music has always been part of my life since I was little, I learned to play the guitar. After I moved to live where I am now, due to the change of state, I had to sell my instruments, but luckily my wife gave me a guitar as an early wedding gift. I'm a bit “rusty” when it comes to playing, but with practice I'll go back to my days as a musician hahaha...
When I was younger I had a band and it was really cool. I played at some church parties and celebrations with huge stages. They were undoubtedly very cool experiences that I will keep in my memory forever. The band didn't move forward, because as we got older, some members started working and this made it difficult for us to meet and especially for rehearsals... That's why it didn't last long.
How Charlie Brown Jr came about
The band from Santos, São Paulo, emerged in the mid-90s. The group was formed by the band leader, Chorão (Alexandre Magno), Marcão, Champignon, Renato Pelado and Thiago. Interestingly, the band performed in the city, but they still didn't have a name to identify it.
The cool thing about each band is when they have a really cool story about how the inspiration to represent the group came about. For the CBJr, it was no different and it was only around 1992, that Chorão, while driving his car, ran into a tent with a drawing of the character Charlie Brown.
Fortunately, no one was injured and through this accident, Chorão took it as a sign and in addition to choosing the name “Charlie Brown”, he decided to add "Júnior" to the band's name, because, according to him, the band members they were the sons of rock.
Charlie Brown Jr's Musical Style
The band undoubtedly reached Brazilian youth with their unique style of Rock N’ Roll. Brazilian rock bands were important for many generations, but none had as great an impact as CBJr. I was practically fortunate enough to grow up listening to his music.
Listening to their songs, which talk about revolt, love, friendship and maturity, are themes that are very important for any young person to follow the band and it is not difficult to say that their songs inspire millions of young people to this day.

Sim, eu sei que demorou e fiquei até assustado com o quanto de tempo que passou desde a minha última postagem sobre minha série de Coletâneas. Neste artigo irei seguir com o meu projeto de trazer cada vez mais músicas para o ecossistema Leo.
Uma forma de me organizar e ter a possibilidade de escutar minhas músicas preferidas em qualquer momento que eu quiser aqui no INLEO, serão através destes artigos que servirão como uma espécie de “biblioteca musical”.
Nesta edição será o Charlie Brown Jr, mais uma banda brasileira que atraiu gerações através de suas obras. Para quem curte uma boa música, sem dúvidas irá apreciar essa banda de rock com toques de seus estilos musicais únicos e atraentes.
Um pouco sobre mim com a música
A música sempre fez parte da minha vida desde pequeno, aprendi a tocar violão. Depois que me mudei para morar onde estou agora, por conta da mudança de estado, tive que vender meus instrumentos, mas felizmente minha esposa me deu um violão de presente de casamento antecipado. Sou meio “enferrujado” na hora de tocar, mas com a prática vou voltar aos meus tempos de músico hahaha...
Quando eu era mais novo eu tinha uma banda e era muito legal. Eu tocava em algumas festas de igreja e celebrações com palcos enormes. Foram sem dúvida experiências muito legais que eu vou guardar na minha memória para sempre. A banda não foi para frente, porque conforme fomos ficando mais velhos, alguns membros começaram a trabalhar e isso dificultou os nossos encontros e principalmente os ensaios... Por isso não durou muito.
Como Surgiu o Charlie Brown Jr
A banda de Santos, São Paulo, surgiu em meados dos anos 90. O grupo era formado pelo líder da banda, o Chorão (Alexandre Magno), Marcão, Champignon, Renato Pelado e Thiago. Curiosamente, a banda fazia as suas apresentações na cidade, mas ainda não tinham um nome que o identificassem.
O legal de cada banda é quando se tem uma história bem legal de como surgiu a inspiração para representar o grupo. Para o CBJr, não foi diferente e foi só por volta de 1992, que o Chorão ao dirigir seu carro, atropelou uma barraca com o desenho do personagem Charlie Brown.
Felizmente não houve nenhuma pessoa ferida e através desse acidente, Chorão interpretou isso como um sinal e além de escolher o nome “Charlie Brown”, decidiu adicionar o "Júnior" ao nome da banda, porque, de acordo com ele, os integrantes da banda eram os filhos do rock.
Estilo Musical do Charlie Brown Jr
A banda sem dúvidas alcançou a juventude brasileira com seu estilo único do Rock N’ Roll. Bandas também do rock brasileiro foram importantes para muitas gerações, mas nenhuma teve um impacto tão grande quanto o CBJr. Eu praticamente tive a felicidade de crescer ouvindo suas músicas.
Ouvir suas músicas que falam tanto de revolta, amor, amizade e amadurecimento, são temas que são bastante importante para qualquer jovem seguir a banda e não é difícil dizer que suas músicas inspiram até os dias de hoje milhões de jovens.
