Today I bring you my classic music review every Monday, this time I decided to bring a little reggae from my favorite band of all my life, not only because the genre is one of the most consumed and even worked as a composer, but because the lyrics of Cultura Profética are simply awesome, they are like beautiful trovas that captivate and for those who understand metaphors, end up meaning something more.
So, without further ado, let's get started!
¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo mi clásica reseña musical de todos los Lunes, en esta ocasión decidí traer un poco de reggae de mi banda favorita de toda la vida, no solo porque el género es de los que más he consumido e incluso trabajado como compositor, sino porque las letras de Cultura Profética son simplemente impresionantes, son como trovas hermosas que cautivan y que para los que entienden las metáforas, termina significando algo más.
Así que, sin más que agregar, ¡comencemos!
1.- Ilegal
This song that I bring as first in the review could be said to be one of the most iconic songs of Cultura Profética for those who have been listening to them for quite some time, however, they have since the 2000's making music, so it is not one of their first songs, but this is like their particular anthem that everyone can recognize.
It is impressive the fact how the lyrics make you think of a person who is so beautiful that it should be illegal that fact, it is an ode to what you love about the person you love the most in the best possible way.
Esta canción que traigo como primera en la reseña podría decirse que es una de las más icónicas de Cultura Profética para los que los escuchan desde hace bastante tiempo, sin embargo, ellos tienen desde la época de los 2000 haciendo música, así que no es de sus primeras canciones, pero esta es como su himno particular que todo el mundo puede reconocer.
Es impresionante el hecho de cómo la letra te hace pensar en una persona que es tan hermosa que debería ser ilegal ese hecho, es una oda a lo que te gusta de la persona que más te encanta de la mejor manera posible.
2.- La Complicidad
This is one of my all time favorite songs by Cultura Profética and it is for the simple fact that the lyrics are one of the most captivating in history, for the powerful message that means to be in complicity with someone, because, it is one thing to have a couple connection, one thing is love, but to become accomplices deserves to have a much more powerful bond, to the point of almost coordinating thoughts, to have similar behaviors to start creating that synergy between the two, it is simply magic and this song represents it too well.
Esta es una de mis canciones favoritas de toda la vida de Cultura Profética y es por el simple hecho de que la letra es una de las que más me ha cautivado en la historia, por el poderoso mensaje que significa el hecho de estar en complicidad con alguien, ya que, una cosa es tener una conexión de pareja, una cosa es el amor, pero llegar a ser cómplices amerita tener un vínculo mucho más poderoso, al punto de casi coordinar los pensamientos, el tener conductas parecidas por empezar a crear esa sinergia entre ambos, simplemente es magia y esta canción lo representa demasiado bien.
3.- La Espera
Of all the songs that Cultura Profética has in history, this is one of the most painful, because the lyrics seem a little innocent, but the one who has been in that position of having to wait for a person, because that person notices you, because their affection grows more so they can become what you want, it is very hard, especially when one is dying inside for the feeling, it is crazy to wait for love and this song has very difficult metaphors to assimilate, it is beautiful, but painful.
De todas las canciones que tiene Cultura Profética en la historia, esta es una de las más dolorosas, porque la letra parece un poco inocente, pero el que ha estado en esa posición de tener que esperar por una persona, porque esa persona te note, porque su cariño crezca más para que pueda llegar a ser lo que tú quieres, es muy duro, sobretodo cuando uno se muere por dentro por el sentimiento, es una locura esperar por amor y esta canción tiene metáforas muy difíciles de asimilar, es hermosa, pero dolorosa.
Bonus Track.- De Antes
We all must have met someone and felt that you had already had that first encounter on some other occasion, perhaps by mere chance, because it was there and you coincided with that person many times without realizing it or simply because you felt a connection that generated a “Dejavu” between you, well, this song is about that and has a beautiful melody and lyrics, it is pure magic.
A todos alguna vez nos debe haber pasado el hecho de conocer a alguien y sentir que ya habías tenido ese primer encuentro en alguna otra ocasión, tal vez por meras casualidades, porque estuvo ahí y coincidiste con esa persona muchas veces sin darte cuenta o simplemente porque sentiste una conexión que generó un "Dejavú" entre ustedes, pues, esta canción trata de eso y tiene una melodía y una letra bellísimas, es pura magia.
