De seguro has escuchado muchísimas veces que el rock es un estilo de vida. ¿Y por qué escuchamos tanto esa frase? Quizás algunos dirán que eres parte de ese estilo por solo llevar una larga cabellera, una franela de alguna de su banda favorita, la forma de hablar o quizás hasta de ser. Pero para mí todas esas características se inclinan más hacia la moda. Desde mi perspectiva el rock ha creado por los años una gran historia y conocerla es parte de ser uno más de ella. Eso es lo que para mí significa ser parte del estilo de vida del rock. Conocer sus protagonistas, su arte, y ser parte de toda su trayectoria nos hace conocedores de grandes e increíbles clásicos de la música.

^{Surely you've heard many times that rock is a lifestyle. And why do we hear that phrase so much? Maybe some would say that you are part of that style just because you wear long hair, a flannel of one of your favorite band, the way you talk or maybe even the way you are. But for me all of those characteristics lean more towards fashion. From my perspective rock has created over the years a great history and knowing it is part of being one of it. That's what being part of the rock lifestyle means to me. Knowing its protagonists, its art, and being part of its entire trajectory makes us connoisseurs of great and incredible classics of music.}

El rock nos ha regalado artistas con un gran potencial y que han dejado un gran legado en el mundo sobre todo en el mundo musical. Artistas como Freddy Mercury, John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Robert Plant entre muchísimos otros. Hoy nuestro protagonista vivió y murió por la pasión de su actuación y no por las luces o confeti a su alrededor convirtiéndose en una figura insigne para una generación que buscaba su identidad. En los 90s se dio un giro a los excesos glam de los años 80s y uno de los que voltio esa cara del disco fue el gran Kurt Cobain.

No cabe duda que Cobain se convirtió en muy temprana edad en unos de los mitos más grandes de la música un gran exponente del grunge y junto a su banda Nirvana creó un estilo musical que logró conectar con el descontento de toda una generación. Su segundo trabajo musical rompió todas las barreras y expectativas al vender millones de copias de tan aún hoy popular trabajo. Por supuesto, para quien conoce de lo que hablo, saben a cuál me refiero. Sí... Nevermind y su popular carátula lograron hacer su historia como el grupo que popularizó el grunge. Creo que de esto no me queda duda. ¿Y a ti?

Quiero en esta nueva edición del #ttt recordar dicho álbum de la banda el cual también para mí marcó un antes y un después y es que cuando los escuché por primera vez tendría unos 14 años aproximadamente en 1998 o sea, unos 7 años después de haber salido Nevermind y lo logré escuchar gracias a MTV y en una de sus grandes creaciones como lo fue los Unplugged. En fin, no hablemos mucho de mí y vamos a lo que vinimos, a escuchar y disfrutar de esta histórica banda del rock llamada Nirvana. Subamos el volumen y escandalicemos un poco al vecino....

^{I want in this new edition of #ttt to remember that album of the band which also marked a before and after for me and when I heard them for the first time I was about 14 years old in 1998 or about 7 years after Nevermind was released and I managed to listen to it thanks to MTV and in one of their great creations as it was the Unplugged. Anyway, let's not talk too much about me and let's get back to what we came for, to listen and enjoy this historic rock band called Nirvana. Creo que estaremos de acuerdo con esto que diré. Por supuesto que Smells Like Teen Spirit es la mejor canción de la banda estadounidense. Nirvana es el responsable protagónico de la divulgación del grunge como estilo musical. La banda le dio voz a ese gran grupo de adolescentes de los 90s al usar la música como una forma de liberación. Esta sin duda es una buena canción para recordar. Te aseguro que si le subes un poco más, no habrá problema…

Otro clásico del disco es cuestión, es Lithium. Esta es una canción bastante cruda. Más allá de su reconocida voz ronca que expresaba palabras con mucha ira, esta canción en particular habla de una onda bastante depresiva. De la locura, de la de soledad. Habla de la desesperación de vivir en una ilusión donde no estamos solos, donde los frenéticos y los insociables pueden ser alguien. Si le bajaste, te prometo que te tocará volver a subirle y si no, prepárate para la segunda buena rola de Nirvana…

^{Another classic from the album is Lithium. This is a pretty raw song. Beyond his renowned husky voice that expressed words with a lot of anger, this song in particular speaks of a rather depressive vibe. Of madness, of loneliness. It speaks of the desperation of living in an illusion where we are not alone, where the frantic and the unsociable can be somebody. If you turned it down, I promise you'll have to turn it up again and if not, get ready for the second good Nirvana song...}

Con esta fue la canción que me quedé enamorado cuando los vi por primera vez en su unplugged en la cadena televisiva de MTv. El sonido de esta banda en cualquier aspecto es increíble y este intro es una verdadera joya y clásico del rock. Recuerdo que cuando formaba parte de una banda de rock este intro no faltaba en los ensayos. Qué buena obra de la banda y considero que sería un gran cierre para esta serie de canciones que les comparto. Por supuesto que todo el disco es estupendo. No hay error y aún después de tantos años, seguimos sin conseguirle error. Todo lo contrario, amamos mucho más todo lo que nos dejó Kurt Cobain.

^{This was the song I fell in love with when I saw them for the first time in their unplugged on MTv. The sound of this band in any aspect is incredible and this intro is a true gem and a rock classic. I remember when I was part of a rock band this intro was a must in rehearsals. What a great piece of work by the band and I consider that it would be a great closing for this series of songs that I share with you. Of course the whole album is great. There is no mistake and even after so many years, we still can't get it wrong. On the contrary, we love much more everything that Kurt Cobain left us.}
