Hello my dear Music community, I hope you're all well here! While it is true that many know me for my recipes, it is also true that my Mathias, is starting his way in music, and although I still do not contemplate the idea of creating musical content with him, there is the fact that I wanted to tell you a little of what is the musical history of my family, and is that, when at the beginning of the year I went to enroll Mathias in music school, the recorder teacher asked me if I was a musician, or where Mathias had that musical vein, my answer, wrong, at that time, was to say that I did not know why although I liked music I did not sing or bingo at family nights. After a while and while talking with my mother, we realized that our families have a bit of musical history, although it is true that there are no famous artists in my family, or at least not so far, it can be said that there is a wide range of options ranging from teachers, singers and musicians who play some kind of instrument.
I will begin on the side of the maternal heritage of my Mathias, my great grandfather (my maternal grandfather's father), played the guitar beautifully, those who knew him say that he had a particular way of playing his guitar, and whenever there was a family reunion he would sit on the porch of his house to delight the whole family, I never had the joy of seeing him do such a thing, his youngest son, who today is Mathias' cuatro teacher, inherited his musical gifts, because besides playing the cuatro very well, he also plays the guitar like my great-grandfather (R.I.P.) did. He also teaches these two instruments in several schools in my town, and also sings in a couple of choirs, having this interest in music since he was very young, both learned to play without teachers or studies, although my uncle, for his part, to be able to practice music teaching legally, had to study a career in teaching, however, even before that, he was already teaching.
My mother's brother, my youngest uncle, loves music since he was a child, my mother tells me, he did not study any kind of musical education, however, he currently sings llanera music and is well known in the town of El Sombrero, my mother's hometown and all his siblings, the truth is that I have never gone to hear him sing, but I am told that he does it very well. On the other hand, a couple of my mother's cousins are singers who are in search of fame, one of them in the United States with several music videos already produced, and another one still here in my country, singing with a nationally known band.
On the part of my paternal family there is no musical history that goes back to any ancestor, because none of them were inclined towards music, however, at present two of my cousins/children are musicians in training, within the national system of orchestras, in the youth part, one of them trumpeter and the other as a violinist, the latter being the one who has become my right hand for the musical education of Mathias, because she is the one who has been teaching him in addition to knowing what refers to the musical stave, Doriana, that is her name, has been fundamental, because in spite of only being a violinist, and a very good one for her scarce 15 years, and she has already been selected to study at the conservatory of music, she has a lot of musical knowledge that she has been able to adapt to other instruments with which she was not familiarized.
On Mathias' paternal side, he has musicians in almost all areas, because his cousins are part of the national symphony, others create electronic music (although not many consider it real music, you still have to have some knowledge of it) his aunts sing and in fact they do it very well, and his grandfather also did it, on the other hand, in the neighboring country the cousins have a musical group. Now that I see it well, I am sorry for having answered wrong that question that the flute teacher asked me, but I think these are things that escape us at a certain moment hahaha, the truth is that behind my Mathias, there is a quite nourished family/musical history, because I think that what I leave here captured, leaves many participants out, but that leaves me no doubt that Mathias has a quite marked musical vein and that although I did not develop it, he has been able to exploit, and that certainly this is just the beginning.

¡Hola mi querida comunidad de Música, espero estén bien todos por aquí! Si bien es cierto que muchos me conocen por mis recetas, también es cierto que mi Mathias, está iniciando su camino en la música, y aunque aún no contemplo la idea de crear contenido musical con él, está el hecho de que quería hablarles un poco de lo que es la historia musical de mi familia, y es que, cuando a principios de año fui a inscribir a Mathias en la escuela de música, el maestro de flauta dulce me pregunto si yo era música, o de dónde venía tenía Mathias esa vena musical, mi respuesta, errónea, en ese momento, fue decir que no sabía por qué si bien a mí me gustaba la música no cantaba ni el bingo en las noches familiares. Pasado un tiempo y mientras conversaba con mi madre, nos dimos cuenta de que nuestras familias tienen un poco de historia musical, si bien es cierto no hay artistas famosos en mi familia, o al menos no hasta el momento, se puede decir que hay un gran abanico de opciones que van desde maestros, cantantes y músicos que tocan algún tipo de instrumento.
Comenzaré por el lado de la herencia materna de mi Mathias, mi bisabuelo (papa de mi abuelo materno), tocaba de manera muy hermosa la guitarra, los que le conocieron cuentan que tenía una manera particular de tocar su guitarra, y siempre que había una reunión familiar él se sentaba en el porche de su casa a deleitar a toda la familia, yo nunca tuve la dicha de verlo hacer tal cosa, su hijo menor, quien hoy día es el maestro de cuatro de Mathias, heredo sus dotes musicales, pues además de tocar muy bien el cuatro, también toca la guitarra como lo hiciera mi bisabuelo (Q.D.E.P), y además de ello imparte clases de estos dos instrumentos en varias escuelas de mi pueblo, siendo que además canta en un par de coros, teniendo este interés por la música desde que estaba muy joven, ambos aprendieron a tocar sin maestros ni estudios, aunque mi tío por su parte, para poder ejercer la docencia musical legalmente, tuvo que estudiar una carrera de docencia, sin embargo, ya antes de ello, él dictaba clases.
El hermano de mi madre, mi tío menor, ama la música desde que estaba pequeño, me cuenta mi madre, el no estudio ningún tipo de cátedra musical, sin embargo, actualmente canta música llanera y es muy conocido en el pueblo de El Sombrero, pueblo natal de mi madre y todos sus hermanos, la verdad es que nunca lo he ido a escuchar cantar, pero me cuentan que lo hace muy bien. Por otro lado, un par de primos de mi madre son cantantes que se encuentran en busca de la fama, uno de ellos en Estados Unidos con ya varios videos de canciones musicales producidos, y otro aún aquí en mi país, cantando con una banda conocida a nivel nacional.
Por parte de mi familia paterna no hay una historia musical que se remonte a algún antepasado, pues ninguno se inclinó hacia la música, sin embargo, en la actualidad dos de mis primos/ahijados son músicos en formación, dentro del sistema nacional de orquestas, en la parte juvenil, uno de ellos trompetista y la otra como violinista, siendo esta última, la que se ha convertido en mi mano derecha para la educación musical de Mathias, pues es la que le ha ido enseñando además de a conocer lo referente al pentagrama musical, lo ha ayudado en el solfeo, lo que ha sido la piedra angular que le ha llevado a tener el éxito que hasta ahora ha tenido con la flauta principalmente, Doriana, ese es su nombre, ha sido fundamental, pues a pesar de solo ser violinista, y una muy buena para sus escasos 15 años, y es que ya ha sido seleccionada para estudiar en el conservatorio de música, tiene mucho conocimiento musical que ha sabido adaptar a otros instrumentos con los cuales no estaba familiarizada.
Por el lado paterno de Mathias, cuenta con músicos en casi todas las áreas, pues sus primos forman parte de la sinfónica nacional, otros crean música electrónica (aunque no muchos la consideran música real, igual hay que tener algún tipo de conocimiento de la misma) sus tías cantan y de hecho lo hacen muy bien, y su abuelo también lo hacía, por otro lado, en el vecino país los primos tienen un grupo musical. Ahora que lo veo bien, lamento mucho haber respondido mal aquella pregunta que me hizo el maestro de flauta, pero creo que son cosas que se nos escapan en determinado momento jajaja, la verdad es que detrás de mi Mathias, hay una historia familiar/musical bastante nutrida, pues creo que lo que dejo aquí plasmado, deja a muchos participantes por fuera, pero que no me deja duda alguna que Mathias tiene una vena musical bastante marcada y que si bien no la desarrolle yo, él ha sabido explotar, y que sin duda esto es apenas el comienzo.
