It's Tuesday, yay! That means one thing here on the blockchain, time to rock and roll or simply chill with cool, rocking, or soothing music for one of our favorite initiatives - the Three Tune Tuesday (TTT) by Ablaze.
Today's spotlight goes to Holy Molly (Maria Alexandra Florea in real life), a Romanian singer, songwriter, and musician. Her music career was quite interesting as according to her bio, she started singing at a young age with the guidance of her mother. How cool is that?
She attended singing competitions around her country at the age of seven. At 14, she released her first song, You Don't Love Me under the stage name Miss Mary. She started writing songs in 2016 and from then on, became an independent artist. After years of attempting to work with people to create music, she reinvented herself and became Holy Molly in 2019.¹
And before I spurt out some more rambles, let's listen to the first song of hers that caught my attention😊
Holy Molly - Twinkle Twinkle
The song's title intrigued me I had to click on it, lol! Then I was hooked into watching the whole music video and listening to her voice which I found to be quite upbeat and fun.
The next track was a collaboration with another artist. It's also her first single as Holy Molly. The song was released in 2019 which accordingly was related to her past experiences dealing with anxiety.
Holy Molly with Parah Dice - Everybody's Scared
Her lyrics are quite intriguing. For some reason, watching the MV gave me goosebumps, not necessarily a bad thing or I wouldn't be sharing it here. It may have touched a chord somewhere deep within😜
And the last tune from the artist was released in November 2021.
Holy Molly - Shot A Friend
This track has 15 million views on YT at the time of this writing. That is still a big number considering she's a new artist trying to make it big in the international arena.
And I forgot to mention earlier that she attended an acting school during her younger years and I think this MV showed her talent in that regard :)
Overall, Holy Molly is great at what she does with her seismic voice. Her songs had pop influences which I liked a lot too. I will probably remember and listen to her songs once again after today.
