Hola world!
I'm wide awake exchanging glances with Mom in the wee hours of Tuesday, lol! She couldn't sleep and has been complaining of aches and such. Her meds could no longer ease her pain, I could only wish to take her burdens away so she could get some good shut-eye even for a few hours.
Anyway, those who read me know what Tuesday means.
Music! or the Three Tune Tuesday (TTT) initiative by Ablaze.
On a lazy day last week, I accidentally discovered a Pinay (Filipino Lady) talent, Jackie Chavez from Bicol (now resides in California). Accordingly, she found her love for music after her grandmom showed her the basics of guitar playing. She must adore her. And what a wonderful legacy a granny could leave!
And so without much ado, let's head down for the three songs I have chosen to share for the day.
Jackie Chavez - Kasama Kang Tumanda (Grow Old With You)
This was the first song of hers that I came across and I liked it. I thought it was a nice mashup and obviously, she was having fun while performing it. This song reminded me of Adam Sandler's film, The Wedding Singer.
The next recommendation is her cover of Katharine McPhee's Terrified.
Jackie Chavez - Terrified
I thought her acoustic rendition was good. Her sweet voice is quite easy on the ears and it was nice to see her recording not only with her guitar but also with another person playing a second instrument (cajón). Well done, yeah?
And because Christmas vibes are in the air, let me end the day's recommendation with her version of Sana Ngayong Pasko, an OPM Christmas classic that fills the airwaves in the country as early as September each year.

And there went the three tunes that (hopefully) showed Jackie's versatility as a budding musician. It's been nice listening to her and I wish her success as she works under the record label, Auditioneer, distributed by Warner Music Philippines.
Cheers to a beautiful day, frens!
