ABBA, a group made up of 2 men and 2 women who were also 2 married couples, caused a sensation in the 70s. When I was barely 11 years old, I was already a fan of POP groups in English since I was learning the language and trying to understand it through the lyrics of the songs.
SOS was the first song that arrived in the southern hemisphere of America and it impacted me immediately, with its sadness and emergency call that those lyrics mean, it was a call for someone who needs a person to ask for help when they need it.
With Dancing Queen they became famous since they brought their songs dedicated to Queen Elizabeth of England on a televised program where they were invited by the queen herself to sing.
ABBA cared about their Latin fans by making a version of one of their songs in Spanish, CHIQUITITA. They also say that they liked the language and did it as a challenge to learn it, and it turned out spectacularly well. Total success.
How big of an ABBA fan am I?
Encouraged by my daughter, we recorded this song for a contest here at HIVE and I loved doing it. Although I am very shy, it gave me confidence that I don't have people in front of me and her company gave me security. It was something I always wanted to do and I did it.
If in my adolescence I had been able to do this, believe me, I had the entire ABBA collection sung by me in recorded videos like this one, homemade. Since we used to clean the house and use the broom as a microphone, from time to time we would stop to do a performance of the song.
It is still very good music, my children listen to it and my grandchildren too, so it's been 3 generations now and I hope that my grandchildren's children also listen to it.
So my video was now encrypted in the Hive chain for posterity.
