Well Hello There June
Here we are almost halfway through the year, swinging back on some tunes to recall the month of June!
"June in January" is a popular song with music by Ralph Rainger and lyrics by Leo Robin, published in 1934. Popularized on golden screen with movie star Dean Martin around 1959, needless to say relates to Northern Hemisphere. Great leap back in time to my parents generation, dressing up to get to the theater was a rare treat, music was played on the radio where I heard it first.

The Everly Brothers were an American rock duo, sound of steel-string acoustic guitar and close harmony singing. Consisting of Isaac Donald "Don" Everly and Phillip "Phil" Everly, brothers combined elements of rock and roll, country, and pop, becoming pioneers of country rock. Many more popular songs sound their way to hit-parades around the world, "Crying in the Rain", "Till I Kissed You" and "Bye Bye Love" if memory needs a jolt.... different, popular with many, not quite my taste!

Northern Hemisphere have fun in June, positive, happy-go-lucky attitude of the 90s was refreshingly different from today's BS. Swedish pop groups always appeared light hearted. Originally consisting of Marie Fredriksson (vocals and piano) and Per Gessle (vocals and guitar) formed in 1986 and very popular into the 1990s.
My personal favourite was "It Must Have Been Love", we remember Marie who succumbed to cancer after a seventeen year battle with a brain tumor at age of sixty-one.
