It has been a couple of months since I had played the piano and have went ahead with my classes. Maybe even longer? This is surely the reason why I didn't sign up for classes with a teacher (even though we all know this is most likely a way better idea) because my weeks are just too irregular, and it would be a waste of the classes because practise is the reason why you make progress. And I don't practise enough.
First it was summer time, and summers take up the evenings with fooling around in the garden instead of playing the piano. But then there was some home improvement, which meant the piano had to have a temporary new location. Which means it is not so prominently located at the moment. Hence the no playing.

Now it seems like the home improvement is done the piano would be able to go back, the reality is that it is not that easy. Have you ever moved a piano? That is a b&tch if you have some stairs to take. These guys are around 280 kilograms and are tall. That means you really need like 4 strong dudes (or maybe just 2 if they know exactly what they are doing to also move it back. With everyones tight schedules, it aint easy getting everyone back together.
Hence...the piano is still in his alternative location, and these winter days would be the perfect moment to play the guy. Bummer!
There is still so much to learn!
Shorts on Youtube
On of the things I love to do if find small Youtube shorts which learn you quite easy how to do something super easy. If you look at this short you can hear a really simple tutorial on how to make something super dramatic. Or how you play shape of you in a really easy way. Sure, it is not all too technical on reading sheet music, but the combo is just nice.
Having some sheet music to go, but also have some small successes.
Coffin song
One of the songs I was doing before the piano got stored was playing this Coffin song. Here it is the slow version of it but this is just really fun to do. And a nice gimmick to throw out at a party if you know the extended versiona bit more.
But this is the base of it.
It sounds a bit cheesy this version, but these videos really make me smile.
Here is a bit of the same version of the song but in a different learning form. This doesnt work for me me though, as these ways of learning don't seem to stick in my brain
But you know the original from a couple of years back right? I had so many laughs on tons of these videos passing by (but that is a whole other story). I just took a random one of one of the gazillions that are on the web

Now it aint all memes and shorts coming to music and whatever there is to find. Do you know this one from Intergalactic Lovers? Yes, it is a guitar song, but damn this is a fine one when taking a bike outside
I would have hoped on more piano tutorials on this on Youtube, because I think this is an awesome with great depth to also have a piano version out of it like this girl here does.
But sheet music is also not the easiest to find as yet, this needs another winter and another project.
But most of all, I need my piano to be back in place!!
