Hahaha That picture says it all, she wasn't even a convincing Goth! Siouxsie and the Banshees could never quite work out whether they were Goth-rock or Post-punk. I could possibly name about three songs from (just googled this) her admittedly impressive eleven studio album catalogue and what was interesting was the hall of fame of the band's original members. Sid Vicious, Marco Pirroni and Robert Smith are the stand-outs.

Hazel still wins hands down though. There's no song better for a 15-year-old Nathen to Pogo to than this!

Absolutely scary as fuck though!

As for The Mission, never knew they covered this. Although local heroes in Leeds, I wasn't a big fan of Wayne Hussey's voice but I did like the guitar on this cover, in fairness, I don't really like the song.

Carry on.....

Oh yes, 'Obsessed with the Beatles recently'? Oh deary deary me.....

It's good to see you back and some honest words instead of the 'I love your music - now can you give me a comment vote'..., and while we are worlds apart this is such a refreshing comment 😀..

I just finished George's Biography, the Ringo one (if it exists I will likely veto). Sid was a talentless freak and it was all show, Robert Smith while now looking like a wild-haired zombie is great.., I am a big fan. The other dude.. was an Ant.., what else to say?... 'Stand and Deliver'.., it's a little dated.

Thank you, and I hear what you're saying about the comment farmers. I saw in HW that there was allegedly a list of people who gave good comment votes being distributed to new members of the Nigerian community, surprise, surprise!

One little story I forgot to tell you. The guy who played sax on the original WIll You was Wesley Magoogan, who chopped off his fingers in a circular saw accident in 1996 and although they were reattached, he was never able to play sax again....

Have a great weekend :-)

That doesn't shock, I'm probably on there as a 'maybe'.., but wouldn't mind seeing the list.

I was never a fan of the sax, and found the instrument grossly over-used in the last century with popular music. One great use for it was the early Roxy songs and Andy MacKay, he seemed to meld the instrument into their songs very well, not making it the dominant sound.
