Four days ago Leningrad released a funny new video (its about a self-made woman, modern style) - but I have quite a different plan for today #ttt. Some reasons made me create this musical bouquet for you. Three very different female vocalists, some of you I already acquainted you in my previous blogs. So, worth your attention: Kovacs, Nadine Shah, Röyksopp.
Kovacs - Fool Like You
(unofficial video; from «Shades of black» LP, 2015)
Dark, intense, bitter (but no, I am speaking not about chocolate here), full of drama and wrapped up with silky voice, the melodies of Dutch singer Sharon Kovacs do not require a special time of day, or mood, or occasion to listen to... well, any moment would suite well to play her tunes. This week I had a massive spontaneous playback of her songs in my head, so today's post I start with one of my favorite Kovacs songs. (It belongs to her first album "Shades of black", which is filled with hits to the brim, and in my opinion remains the pinnacle of her discography so far). NB: you may check songs lyrics in YT comment section, it is worth it. Enjoy!
Nadine Shah - Winter reigns
(unofficial video; from «Love Your Dum & Mad» LP, 2013)
Strangely but fact: this clip at Youtube has as much as 313 likes! (only). What a shame... Strange indeed. Ok, count it as a secret gem then. I dont want to much about this song - I used to play it in years every time the first snow covers the town; and there arrived a massive snowdrop just recently. So...

Röyksopp - Ice Machine
(Depeche mode cover; from 'Lost Tapes' LP; 2019)
This music came for me just yesterday! Ofc, original 1981 Depeche Mode version - b-side to their 'Dreaming of Me' single - I lived happily with since my teens, but this back-to-good cover was new to me. Thanks to my office colleague, who included it in his faves playlist where I immediately stole it 🙃 not knowing yet the artist's name. (Extra thanks to YouTube, which deduced what I needed without any shamanism or Shazam). All whose youth was colored by the blessed sounds of synthpop - join the fun!
Today's music selection you may find very eclectic and contradicted (and you will be right!), but still I hope you enjoy it. 😎 The post goes for Three Tune Tuesday challenge run by @ablaze.
