Hello to all my fellow music lovers!
It's Tuesday and although its been a while since I last made a Three Tune Tuesday post, I continuously seek new music that I can share to everyone. That leads me to the discovery of this Nu Metal band from India called BLoodywood just two months ago and immediately love their music specially the way that the lyrics of their songs is a culmination of their personal beliefs. Another thing that I also like about this band is that on their songs, they incorporate the use of 'Dhol' which is a staple instrument within India. Anyways, here are their songs.
Nu Delhi was the first song that I heard from this band that was just released 2 months ago. I guess I was just lucky that I accidentally came across this song with how Youtube algorithm works. Anyways, this song was kind of a love letter to the city of New Delhi where the band grew up. It's message is about embracing both the good and the bad aspect of the city while finding ways to succeed.
Jee Veerey means "My Brothers" in English and is a tribute to the Indian Army who risk their lives in order to protect their country. The song tells the struggles and sacrifices that the soldiers have to endure for their land. At the same time, it really fascinates me that at the end of the song, the band has sponsored a counseling session to help people having trouble with their mental health which is to show that this band is composed of good people.
And for the last song, Gaddaar or "Traitor" in English was a call to action for farmers to stand for their rights and not be labeled traitor for speaking out against the system. The song also explains the struggles that farmers have to endure such as going in debt and calamities like draught which heavily affects their livelihood while and how their government barely does anything to help their farmers.
And that was it for this week's #threetunetuesday post. This was a project initiated by @ablaze where everyone was free to share their favorite music every Tuesday. Thank you very much if you made it till the end and you can tell me which song have you liked or was something that you never heard. The song was really busy and a lot of things happen at the same time but at no point that I feel like they are doing too much which is not the case for some songs that I have listened before.
See you until next time!
