Hello to all my fellow music lovers! It's Tuesday once again and that only means we got another batch of Three Tune Tuesday of songs to recommend for all of Hive community to listen.
It's the first Tuesday of October, only a few days away from my birthday. Really have no plans to celebrate since I will be working the entire day but it can always change. Anyways, the song that I will recommend this time came from the band called Silverstein, one of the bands that I came to know during the 2000's Myspace Scene and was still quite active in creating music until today. Ironically, it was also during my 14th birthday when I first listened to their song. Anyways, this are some of their songs.
This was the first song that introduced me to this band. It was during one of our music class when my classmate plays its opening riff on guitar which I came to really like to this day so I asked him about the song. Another thing that I like about this song was how well they placed the screaming part in the song that further carries the emotion of the song. When it comes to the meaning of the song, it tells about the joy and pain that comes with a destructive relationship, similar to how drug addiction can be and how difficult it is to break free from it.
Next from them was the song Smashed into Pieces which is a song that is about the turmoil one experienced on a relationship that is falling apart and how it can breaks the person apart. I placed this song here not only because it was a good song but also because it was the favorite song of that friend that introduces me to this band. He even uses Smashed as his ign on his web2 socials.
And for the last song, I added the song American Dream which explores the struggles of youth as they overcome obstacles and pursue for their dreams no matter how difficult it can be and no matter how many setbacks they have. At the end of the song, you can see that Shane Told, the lead vocalist of the band fells in to the floor and apparently, it was unintentional and was almost have his legs injured but since it works with the video, they decided to include it.
And that was it for this week's #threetunetuesday post. This was a project initiated by @ablaze where everyone was free to share their favorite music every Tuesday. Thank you very much if you made it till the end and you can tell me which song have you liked or was something that you never heard.
See you until next time!
