Merry Christmas! It's a bit past midnight in Malaysia so it's already December 25th here. As usual, I will share three songs for Three Tune Tuesday. Since it's Christmas, I will be sharing three Christmas songs. They will be a bit different than the normal songs you here on the radio or in malls. I won't make you listen to more of that! I hope you like the songs I share today!
#1. The Last Christmas - 이승기, 태민 (TAEMIN), 백현 (BAEKHYUN), 첸 (CHEN), 시우민 (XIUMIN), 하성운, VIVIZ (비비지), 이무진, BE'O (비오), BADVILLAIN (배드빌런)
This song was recommended to me on YouTube. This song has various well known K-pop singers that collaborated to make this Christmas song. I thought it was cool that they also had Lee Seunggi, a famous korean actor, in the music video. I love the K-pop and Christmas feel combination in this song. The song is super catchy and it's cool that all these artists are singing in it because they are all adding their unique voice and singing style to the song. The lyrics are pretty solid as well. It's a love song and if I'm not wrong, it's talking about how this Christmas won't be like last Christmas because they will have a partner to spend it with (they spent last Christmas alone).
#2. The Last Christmas (We Ever Spend Apart) - Arkells
Honestly, today was the first time I heard this song and this will probably be for many others that listen from my post as well. I was searching from Spotify to see if there were any similar names to see if I could try to get all the songs I shared today to be titled "The Last Christmas". I was surprised this song was released in 2021. It kind of gave me 90s vibes. I think the song is interesting and unique to the ones played on the radio and malls. The song is about someone that wasn't able to spend time with his loved ones last Christmas. This could've been due to work or other reasons. They just sat by the windowsill and did nothing. They want to change that for this Christmas by going back home.
#3. Last Christmas - ASTN
I saved my favorite for last. It's actually one of my favorite Christmas songs. The original is by Wham! but there's a lot of covers and versions of Last Christmas. Personally, this is my favorite version because I like the R&B style to it. The song is about a guy giving all his love for a girl who ends up breaking his heart last Christmas. This Christmas he hopes to give it to someone better!
