It has taken me a while to write about Joaquina, maybe you don't know her yet or maybe you have already heard something about a young Venezuelan girl who has been setting the pace in the Latin pop scene, considering the success of her musical career.
Joaquina is a 19 year old girl, daughter of a well known TV presenter and entertainer such as Camila Canabal and Francisco "El Pachi" Blavia, sports commentator and narrator.
We could believe that with her family background Joaquina has everything to succeed in the world of music and entertainment but what if I tell you that when I first heard Joaquina I had no idea and I didn't care in the least who her parents were? what mattered to me and even impacted me was her performance.
This was a year ago around this time, I was listening to random music on YouTube and the algorithm took me to a cover of "Amiga Mia" by Alejandro Sanz. I listened to it without watching the video, I liked it, stopped the playback and went back to see who it was, initially I saw the interpreter and everything normal, I left a like and with that youtube did its job, a couple of songs went by and Youtube took me to what has been for me so far his most powerful song. What can I say I had no words, it was simply shocking, it was as if at that moment I was "discovering" a jewel! an exceptional talent, really, I repeated many times the song, I searched in Viberate, which is my metrics analysis tool about who Joaquina was, I wanted to know who she was, where she came from, who Joaquina was! and with that at home they also asked me about who was this girl I listened to so much, they also liked her, I just told them "Joaquina" she is Venezuelan.
Up to this point I didn't even worry about who her parents were, I mean, I am listening to an exceptional talent, who cares who her parents are, I like her music, that's what really matters.
A few days later my mom is the one who tells me, "hey you know who Joaquina's parents are" and I was surprised by my mom's interest when she tells me that her parents are who they are, in that perfect moment I understood that her face in a certain sense became familiar to me 😅.

At this point I was already recommending Joaquina to whoever I could and I was also looking for all her songs and videos, it is here where I confirmed how spectacular Joaquina can be, I listened to Blanco y Negro (song of the video shared live) and I identified myself in an incomprehensible way, it was as if that song talked about something I had already lived and I had forgotten that I had lived it, it was a very strange feeling, there I realized that Rabia was not just a momentary hit, on the contrary it was a mouth opener of all the talent that Joaquina has to share with us.
Then very soon I had an unbeatable opportunity, Joaquina announced that she would be performing in Caracas, specifically in MoDo, this happened on July 19, 2023, coincidentally on a Wednesday, in my case I had no one to go with and yet I could not miss this opportunity so as for me is customary I decided to go alone for this presentation, I will tell you that for me it was no surprise to realize that the venue was too small for her, There were a lot of people as you have seen in the video, it was hard for me to find a good place to see her, however I was happy to hear her live, I realized that her talent is innate, she is a diamond that is shining and she is doing it with strength, in the venue I found old people, young people, teenagers, contemporary adults, boys and girls, that is to say, she covered all ages.
This was, in her own words, her first presentation in Caracas as a soloist since she had already performed in other opportunities but to open presentations to other artists, so I witnessed a historic moment for Joaquina's promising musical career.
Joaquina's growth was meteoric! A couple of months went by and Joaquina was being nominated for the Latin Grammys as best new artist, for many this was a surprise, an exceptional case, for me it was the result of the incredible work Joaquina has done, as expected despite the competition Joaquina won the category.
That day I cried, it may seem strange but I was really very happy for a girl who does not know me but I recognize as an artist that with her music could take me back to moments of my adolescence and even my childhood. It's strange but her music transmits me a lot of that, situations I have already lived, situations I still live, memories and at the same time something I have always thought is that her songs are too deep for a person who is only 19 years old! it doesn't seem real.
Yes, it took me a long time to write about Joaquina.
Surely I fall short of so much that Joaquina can transmit with her music, surely this year she will perform again in Venezuela, I do not know, if she does I would love to be present again, it will surely be a boom and it will be very difficult to find tickets, it will be necessary to make an effort because her music deserves it.
