Good morning, music lovers!
After a week's hiatus, I'm back posting in this community, and taking the birthday as my starting point... As usual, I did a little research to find out who was born on June 25th in the huge world of music... And a great singer was born in 1963, by the name of George Michael!
A British singer, producer and songwriter of Greek descent, he was truly one of the biggest names of his generation!
His mark will last beyond his lifetime, as is well known. His unmistakable voice, strong tones and lyrics with a powerful message, framed by fantastic and unforgettable melodies, made his genius something that was adored, and continues to be praised by his fans!
Their songs are iconic and inseparable from their name. His most famous, surely, are "Faith", "Freedom" and "Wake Me Up Before you Go-Go". They don't leave their trump cards in anyone's hands... even today, when they play them at a party, it's rare that anyone doesn't feel an almost instinctive urge to dance to them.
Faith was the first of George's singles, just after he left Wham! The infectious rhythm of its melody, combined with Michael's voice, as well as the lyrics full of meaning, made it one of the most played songs of all time, earning its interpreter a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
On the other hand, "Freedom" revolutionized the way the world looked at Michael, and his vocal range and enormous range left half the world in awe and in love with the artist and his great ability to generate emotions in listeners all over the world. Breaking free from the constraints of society was one of the great motives behind making this song one of his great anthems.
Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" had a fantastic release, with a collaboration with Andrew Ridgeley, under the name "Wham!". Its catchy melody and energetic vocals made it the great anthem of the 80s... Anyone who was born in the late 70s knows, as I do, that it was one of the most played songs of all time. And no matter how many times we heard it, we never stopped wanting to dance to it!
These songs, and many others left behind by the musical genius of George Michael, will forever linger in the minds of those who consider themselves to be forever young Ahahah

E eis que após uma semana de interrupção, voltei as publicações nesta comunidade, e pegando no aniversariante... Como habitualmente, fui fazer uma pesquisa breve, para saber quem nasceu no dia 25 de Junho, no mundo enorme da música... E um grande cantor nasceu em 1963, de seu nome George Michael!
Cantor, produtor e compositor musical britânico de ascendência grega, foi de facto um dos nomes mais sonantes da sua geração!
A sua marca perdurará para além da sua existência, com é mais do que sabido. A voz inconfundível, de fortes timbres e letras com mensagem poderosa, enquadradas em melodias fantásticas e inesquecíveis, faziam da sua genialidade algo que era adorado, e continua a ser louvado pelos seus fãs!
As suas canções marcadamente icónicas e indissociáveis de seu nome. As suas mais famosas seguramente serão a "Faith", "Freedom" e o "Wake Me Up Before you Go-Go", não deixam os trunfos por mãos alheias... ainda hoje quando numa festa as passam, é raro quem não sinta um impulso quase instinto para as dançar ao seu gosto.

A libertação das amarras que a sociedade impunha, foi um dos grandes motes, para tornar esta canção um dos grandiosos hinos.
A "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go", teve um lançamento fantástico, com a colaboração com Andrew Ridgeley, com o nome de "Wham!". A melodia muito cativante e voz sempre energética fez dela o grande hino dos anos 80... Quem nasceu no fim dos anos 70, sabe como eu, que este foi na altura uma das canções mais tocadas de sempre. E por mais vezes que a ouvíssemos, nunca deixaríamos de ter a vontade de a dançar!
Estas canções, e muitas outras que o gênio musical de George Michael deixou, irá para sempre perdurar na mente dos que se consideram sempre jovens Ahahah
