Venerable Guangchao gave a wonderful teaching on Buddha nature through the four figures below.
1 (left most) denotes "a" arising and dissolving being separate (red line)from "b" no arising and dissolving.
2 denotes "a" arising and dissolving engulfing "b" no arising and dissolving, like bubbles in an aerated soft drink.
3 denotes "b" no arising and dissolving being the all, but there is the "a" arising and dissolving overlapping with "b". Much like cloud in the sky.
4 denotes the non-duality of "a" and "b".
"a" denotes form, "b" denotes emptiness.
It's an important teaching. May all be well!
