Why the symbol of circle in Buddhism?

in #hive-1944704 months ago

The circle that starts from the origin and ends with the same origin is often seen as a symbol of Zen.

In the video, Venerable Ti Fo explained that the start is the end, symbolic of the cause and the effect being the same. They are one.

When we want to pursue enlightenment, we are already enlightened.

This is how Buddhism is complete.

It's unfortunate that I can't understand the video, but your summary is really helpful. This one is a bit interesting though: "When we want to pursue enlightenment, we are already enlightened." I remember in one of the videos you shared, that the teaching was not to pursue enlightenment, since doing so prevents us from clearing our mind and attaining enlightenment. So I guess there are some differences in the teachings of masters.

Just stay with the here and now.

I see. Thank you.

Nice share!
