𝑴𝒚 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑶𝒇 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔

"Happiness is free," I have come to agree with that phrase because true happiness comes from within. In a chaotic world, I have realized that one needs to create their own happiness in order to stay sane and productive.

One way I create my happiness is immersing myself in nature, observing the creation, looking deeper beyond the surface and connecting with nature. Little wonder I try to hone my photography skills whenever I can. The joy I feel capturing the pretty skies, colorful trees, and flowers is unexplainable, it works like magic, somehow I find myself smiling and I noticed how my mood elevates and stabilizes.

I wish you could take a trip to my phone gallery, then you'll understand what I meant when I say I immerse myself in nature. Some people stand and stare at me in surprise when I begin to capture pretty flowers, birds and skies, little did they know that it is a source of happiness to me.

The beautiful thing about this is, it cost no dime to achieve, it's the cheapest way I create my happiness and nature is everywhere, so there's no excuse to not create happiness in my own little way.

Staying out of debt and leading a simple life has been my daily practice of happiness. I am always happy because I know I do not need to hide from anyone or try to impress anyone, I do not live above my means, I live in my truth, I live an authentic life and I feel at peace with myself and that brings me so much joy.

Giving on the other hand makes me happy, I make an intentional habit to show kindness and empathy to people around me everyday and that brings me joy, to know I was a reason behind someone's smile. I met a very pretty lady yesterday on the bus and I told her how gorgeous she was, you need to see the smile on her face. It's either I give a sincere compliment to a person, or give my time, energy or resources to a person everyday, I feel so fulfilled whenever I become selfless for others.

What's a happy day without music? it's safe to call me a music addict, I can't go a day without music, don't think I would have a good day. My airpods are my best friend everyday. I recall some days when I am moody, music made me feel happy and lighter. You know there are some songs that reach the deepest part of your soul and there are so beats that can move you to dance even if you don't want to. That's how powerful music make my day. I listen to music while I am making a dress, and it has a way of easing my stress. I prefer songs are not so slow so that I go go deep in thoughts. To make my day, I slam in hip-hop, rap, country music and just tilt my head along.

Reaching out to my friends and loved ones makes me happy, I like to know they are safe, well and hearty, I send random texts to my loved ones and once they reciprocate, I feel so elated already. The nature of my job does not permit me to spend time with them often, but of course one is never too busy for the people they love, so I ensure I either drop a kind message for them to know they are in my thoughts or I call them and make them laugh, seeing them happy brings me happiness too.

Lastly, I can't go a day without doing something I love, which is being creative in any way, I love to make dresses and I love to write, so of course to create my own happiness, I ensure I do not go a day without doing them.

Writing has a way of making me feel really good, which is why I pour out my heart in writing, I have journals where I write a lot of things, most are self-affirmations, others are wild imaginations.

Sewing on the other hand makes me so excited, I love to sketch designs, even if I am not on my sewing machine, I could just be sketching designs or cutting clothes, these are my own little way of elevating my mood.
