Growing up with a prudent mother will teach you a lot about money, like how to save, how to give, and when not to spend too much or not to spend at all. This also happens when we are out to get decorations. Since we are minimalists, we know what to get. My mom is a lover of flowers, and she likes flowers that stand out and last for a while.
I pointed to a nice-looking flower I spotted while walking through the market. It was a purple plastic flower. We bought the flower, and it makes the sitting look more fancy.
The picture above was taken in 2019; it's an old picture with our flower. If you look closely at the table, you will see a nice-looking flower. We have one on the central table in the sitting room, one in the dinner, and the last two are in my mom's room.
Recently, I went to my parents place, and I still found the flower looking beautiful and alive.
It looks beautiful right; it has beautified our home for a year without spending much to take care of it. We got it back then for 1,200 Naira for each ($1.8). It was cheap and it did a good job.
A few months ago, mommy bought another flower, which they said doesn't need much sun light to survive. My mom got a vase, collected some of the flowers, and made a nice flower pot in the passage.
I spent just a few seconds with the plant before I bought out my phone to take some pictures, and there we are today talking about it. Moral of the day: Spend wisely and take pictures.
