With the holidays and birthdays over, there needs to come a time after that when we take a little bit of inventory and stock of what we've got. What still gets used, what doesn't and what do we need to get rid of.

That's a great discipline and a fantastic way to eliminate clutter and also attachment.

I don't love putting these things into the waste, but they weren't in the best shape to try and sell, and they were also not in good shape to donate to someone else but they weren't completely broken yet.

Sometimes people might need a specific part of something. It's just that you might not know where exactly to drop it off. I've seen people leave things at their gates with signs to help themselves... I'm not sure if that's entirely a great idea though.

This is the everlasting battle of a parent and an adult who is interested in trying to move towards minimalism. It's a struggle but it's worth fighting the good fight because it has positive implications in many of our other aspects of life.

💯

I've been feeling cluttered lately and plan to do an inventory to see what I can toss out or donate.

Have a lovely week ahead:)))

Glad you find some of the same struggles haha. It is indeed a good way to go about it - being able to bring things in and also figure out what needs to go out.

For the things not exactly in good donate or sell condition - they are mostly toys and small things. It's not a half broken radio or something so people won't need it for parts but for sure other things we will keep that in mind!

Hope you have a successful declutter soon :D
