Think about it: when someone gifts you something, they’re not just tossing random objects your way. They’ve thought about you (awww), made an effort (sweet), and spent money they could’ve used to buy themselves lunch (okay, a bit dramatic, but you get it).

I don't know which planet you live on, but in many cases, people give random gifts to get rid of items they do not want and also to feel in themselves as a 'giver' with little or no thought as to the purpose or taste of the receiver.

I'm happy that you saw through the man who gave you lavish gifts, though.

I used to be an intentional giver and would go out of my way to purchase the most thoughtful gifts... and I was naive to think that others were the same. Thank goodness I saw the light:)

Most people I know would rather donate items they don't want than gift them. Exactly, giving is more about the receiver and less about the giver in actual sense. I'm constantly making efforts toward being an intentional giver. It's a precious thing to think about the person and what they would actually need or want.

Thank you for your kind comment, I enjoyed replying! 😁

You're very welcome.
Have a lovely year ahead:)))
