Into The Light
✨"One particular night, I got into a big fight with my closest friend. I was so scared that the friendship was going to come to an end so all that time she was screaming at me, I kept how I felt to myself. When I woke up in the morning, the usual happened.
Weeks later, I found out that was me going through anxiety. It didn’t make sense that me not wanting to express how I felt about things could make me anxious. To me, it was extreme. I needed to be sure that the main cause of that morning sickness was anxiety, so for weeks, I made sure to confront anyone who stepped on my toes to sort things out. All through those mornings, I woke up very calm. No fast heart beats, no stomach turnings, no nothing." @abenad
Stopping a legacy of trauma
✨"My adolescence was terrible because in addition to all the bad things that accompany this stage, I had in my mind that my mother did not love me and I became rebellious. As I became an adult I was calmer but every once in a while so many memories would come back to haunt me and I would treat my mom with indifference. It was back to those days when I needed her to hold me and I couldn't get it." @abisag
A Day in my Life: a minimalist's visual story
✨"Cleaning helps me feel refreshed, and a clean floor makes the whole room look better. This daily habit ensures my space remains clutter-free and welcoming. After cleaning my room, it was time to clean my head-space. Writing in my journal helps me organize my thoughts. It’s a simple way to clear my mind and focus on what’s important. Today, I wrote about my priorities for content creation journey, reminding myself to focus on experiences over things, especially in regards to the value I wish to give out." @whatmidesays
The Refreshing Purge
✨"One of the things I realized a few months back was that we were starting to collect random shit again... and I needed to slowly work towards getting that down to a more manageable level! We aren't ones to go out and buy a few hundred dollars worth of junk like games, pillows and other things that we just end up stuffing in a corner and forgetting about it. There is a lot of toys and things like that, which end up getting played with quite well but eventually go to the wayside and often get broken. Once they get a little broken, they get forgotten and then end up in the toy box." @cmplxty
Minimemo #2 - How to Encourage a Hoarder to Declutter Without Conflict
✨"Here’s what works with me and my mom, whenever I want to buy her some type of new dresses and or any items that will have a physical object, I will ask her to either donate or throw away her very old pieces to make room for something new in her life. It can be anything from bottled water to unused bottled of things that she’s keeping just in case." @macchiata
The new Bar Man
✨"You cannot behave like that in a public and exotic business environment. You don't talk back to anyone, you must maintain professionalism at all costs. You must make sure that no customer leaves your desk angry. In Fact you handle the most sensitive position as long as our sales of drinks and beverages are concerned! The reason I am not taking this matter extremely seriously is because your supervisor Mr Basil has already pleaded on your behalf. If not, I would have suspended you straight away, " my manager expressed in a rage-banging tone." @hamez
Protect my time and energy by setting boundaries
✨"Friendship should be a mutual exchange of support, not a one-sided relationship filled with complaints and toxicity. Joy’s influence reminded me of the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing my mental health. Life is too short to entertain toxic energy, and I’m better off for recognizing that truth." @ginika
A Guilt That Lingers.
✨"Life wasn't like this for me until I understood the importance of traveling light, and this prompt always reminds me of how I navigated through life with so much hate that started with not being able to forget how bad people hurt me. I hid behind the forgive but don't forget tradition despite the fact that it was hurting me more, but immediately I was able to trash that ingrained habit of mine, nothing felt too much for me to discard as long as it didn't align with my minimalist belief." @george-dee
Traveling light, weightless and unencumbered makes life easier
✨"Our trip could be said to have been daring, because here we worked, we gathered the scenery, food, personal products and a little bit for any eventuality but without the money for the return trip. It might sound crazy but this was also planned, the advantage that it is a place we know is that we could work there for a few days on our own and get the return ticket. So we can travel without waiting any longer to complete the money in full, and when we get there we take a few days to sell yogurts with cereal from home and on demand." @jemima1996
