Hello everyone,

It's Monday. Not that I'm excited about anything this week, I just feel it's another week to get better on the things I'm working on. For example, I'm enjoying my Spanish, I think I'm improving faster compared to last year when I was frustrated for the most part. My lifestyle is a very simple one and today we examine it using this prompt provided by the community.

I enjoy writing about my lifestyle and my growth process and that is why I'm so focused on these prompts since I discovered the community. You too can write to them if they interest you. I would be looking forward to reading your publications.

You can find the prompts here

In this week's prompt about Lifestyle, I would answer some of the questions posed.

Q1 - Do you live a low-consumption Lifestyle and how does this affect your health and well-being?

I think I've answered this question before, it is a case of me having to live a low-consumption lifestyle because I'm all alone. Over the years, The number of offline friends I have has drastically reduced. I could stay indoors for days without anybody noticing. I eat once or max twice every day not because I can't afford a 3 Square meal but because my routines don't allow me to.

I have bad eating habits as I don't eat too much at the right time. For example, I rarely have breakfast because I sleep in the mornings. Weird right? Maybe.

As for my health and well-being, I think a low-consumption lifestyle helps me save costs and also allows me a range of different meals.

I don't eat alot but I eat healthily. My well-being is always in check and I feel healthy or rather I can't trace any health issues to my meals.

A look at my lifestyle, it's easy to suggest improvements however, some of these things come at a cost. A low-consumption life works for me. I think all I have to do is to work on my timings.

Q2 - What are some of your Minimalist Lifestyle Practices? What impact do you think your practices have on the environment?

I have alot of them that people find annoying sometimes because it is something they don't expect from me. I don't know when they would realize that I'm a different person now.

  • Spending Habits: I have stopped spending money like I use to. I'm fond of always helping people whenever they ask and not only has this privilege been abused, I've come to realize that it affects me in the long run.

I've always been the go-to guy when my friends need money. Sometimes they are truly in need but other times they just want to collect from me.

Recently, I've started to simplify my spending, practicing the principle of minimalism. Spending on only what I need with a little budget for charity

  • Rules: It's weird but I've created rules that would see me stay indoors more and allow friends to visit less. I feel more comfortable in my space and for now, I enjoy more time staying alone.

My friends don't like it as they always want to be around. I understand that they feel I've started this routine out of my loss. However, the reason doesn't matter as I enjoy it.

I have started these practices cautiously and it has helped me as I now understand myself better. Question 3 On the prompt inquiries if my ideologies are different from my family and peers.

Yes! they are different from friends, however, It's a family trait. I have been different all along but it's gradually making sense why I enjoy leaving this way.

Cutting costs is a great minimalist strategy. Doing it this way we avoid getting into debt and the best thing is that we train our mind to buy what we really need. Forging a personality with a defined criterion is spectacular.

I'm glad you shared with us your minimalist ideas 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Living a low consumption lifestyle saves costs indeed.
Your eating habit can take a toll on your well-being & health if not balanced or rather I’d say your eating ‘timing’.

I also relate to you being more comfortable in your space as I want less or nobody at all around me most times.

About your friends feeling some type of way about your recent habits, just continue to do you if that’s what you enjoy & they’d definitely adjust!

Nice article🤗

I think I need to adopt your lifestyle myself. God knows I need to cut down on my expenses and start watching how I spend.

Brother, staying in doors pay especially when you have a lot of plates on your table. Unfortunately for me, I like food and I can spend a lot on food. At the same time, I can eat once a day. That's because of how busy my life can be.

One thing about money, if you feel rich, then you would likely spend it all before realising you have.

Foodie and you will be lying to us that its garri you drank!

Well done o!

Brother, I still drink garri oh. I am not too big for it.

I have bad eating habits as I don't eat too much at the right time. For example, I rarely have breakfast because I sleep in the mornings. Weird right? Maybe.

So weird 😃😃 anyways I understand, it shows You're a very busy person making your cool money indoor.

But am glad you later mentioned that you eat healthily which is very important. That alone would chase some kind of sickness.

I use to be the Mr. Nice guy type too but then I also realized that it's affecting me so much I had to change my ways because some people would just want to collect form you unnecessarily. Though it's good to help but then not to the extent of it affecting my happiness and peace of mind.

I found your post very interesting, thanks for sharing.

Hello @samostically, I enjoyed reading your post because I can relate to what you're saying especially the part of loving your own space and making sure you don't have a lot of friends around. I also agree that living a low consumption lifestyle helps us save costs.

I don't really think it's weird to be sleeping in the morning tho, some people are like that. Normally, I feel really lazy about getting up early but as somebody's daughter, my mum would definitely nag if I don't so I always try to get up early.😁

Well-done and have a great week!

Thanks for reading my post and don't worry you won't stay at home forever!

I think you are not the only one loving your space. Now self me I don't have any close friend that can come to visit me anytime they like except they call me first.

Your eating routine is what I will say is not healthy, you can eat the right food but if the timing is wrong, it might not be good anymore. I'm also in this category but I'm trying really hard to not continue but be flexible. I'm trying to tell you that you should be careful not to accept it like that, it's not okay, don't say it is.

Well I think most of these things might be a family trait just like you said, so it's sometimes really hard to let go.

Hahaha - We have the same lifestyle >>>

How are u @hopestylist?

Yeah it's similar, hehehe. We should try and change sha, it's not good, lol.

Good morning Sam, I'm doing fine and you?

I'm okay - slight breakfast wants to ruin my mood.

You are okay and slight breakfast wants to ruin your mood? Why na?

I've always known that there's a fully furnished duplex of mystery lying in your head and you always prove me right with your writing.

I concur to the part where you said

My friends don't like it as they always want to be around.

Cause lately you have been more of the personal guy all on your own. But I know it's because of your work.

Shoutout to @samostically the Money Giver 😂😂

I've always been the go-to guy when my friends need money.

Hello @samostically
Reading this made me think a lot about my personal life which is somewhat similar to what you've described. I believe there are many positives to be gained from living a simple life, tuning into what makes you happy, and gaining a complete understanding of yourself:)
