The process of curtailing crises and criminal cases in some African countries has been shifted from Government handling and taking charge to settle problem of criminal cases as angry mobs takes down anyone who is caught in the act of stealing.
It is a thing of fear when a person is humiliated in public by having to set the person ablaze with the aim of bringing the act to an end but unfortunately this doesn't stop people from stealing even those really involved in the extrajudicial killing are also criminals but who is caught is killed.
I was surprised yesterday while at work when I started hearing some noise close to my street I didn't even bother to check thinking maybe the noise is from a betting shop,bet9ja. Not until my landlord's child youcame and told me that the caught a thief stealing a church property, from a reputable church which is “the church of Christ”.
Every where was already full leaving no space on the road for vehicles to pass with this I was forced to leave were I was to check out what was really going on, hmmm on getting there the crowd was uncontrollable and the crazy thing about the incident was that there were no police officers to at least control the crowds so some people can pass to wherever the are going. I could barely see the alleged criminal he was covered in a deep crowd, I saw people with sticks which they used in beating the guy. It was dangerous because you could be deprived of your belonging like phone, money or anything so in the process of snapping pictures I held my phone tight so I wouldn't fall victim.

But my problem is this, is jungle justice the way forward? Because the number of youths that are being killed every day in different places around the country is disturbing I'm not also saying that stealing is a good thing, but I have seen a family where the parent three young guys died unfortunately the first son was killed when he was caught stealing, this didn't stop the siblings from stealing which the also stole and were caught and humiliated as what happened to the elder brother.
At times this people begin to steal so the can have what to eat which is due to lack of job in the country. So this young man here in this picture was beaten to the point of death so I couldn't stand to see him die I jus had to leave the place because it was already dark.
What do you guys think about this act that has emerge as the way of bringing to justice the victims in the society. This incident happened here in Nigeria and I've seen it so many times in my neighborhood that it has become part of a normal life to the people around.
What can the Government do to bring jungle justice to an end.
Can the Government provide jobs for the people in the society?
How can the Government fix the economy problem of the country so to reduce the rate of criminal cases.
This are the questions that crosses my mind which something must be done about it if this country must stay in peace and harmony.
I couldn't take pictures properly because of how hurrible the environment was.
Thanks for reading through my blog.
