Clothing Chaos: Is It Really Necessary

in #hive-19484810 months ago

"Hey babe when are you coming over to my house" she asked

"Probably next week I guess" I responded

"Can you get over here real quick cuz these clothes are driving me crazy, I need you to come help sort all this out."

That's me and my friend Dasola over the phone. I should have put a warning sign that says no disturbance.

As much as I revel in the joy of acquiring new clothes, the delightful dance of fabrics adding hues to my wardrobe, there's a part of me that craves simplicity. Venturing into my friend's abode is like stepping into a world of endless garments – a captivating yet somewhat exhausting journey. She can't help but complain about the number of clothes she has hanging around her wardrobe, but still the funny part is that she can't get over the obsession of always buying new clothes. To me most times that's funny and always throws me off balance.

I know a lady loves to have new clothes Sue's hair etc we believe in having varieties and when there is money you got to go after it well I'm not saying it's bad to go after what you want I do most times 2 but at the same time is best to go after not only what you want but what you can accommodate or else you will have a lot lying on your house without any need for them.

Dasola is always disturbed by the amount of clothes she has but she can't get rid of the obsession of buying new clothes.
This does affect me greatly because I'm the one she always calls whenever she feels her room is in a pretty good mess.

You know, I do have some great amount of clothes but I do love to live by a certain rule: necessary items, necessary clothes" and I make sure that the amount of clothes I have is actually the ones I really need.

Imagine coming back after a delightful dinner date, flip on the lights in your room, and suddenly it looks like your clothes had a spirited game of tug of war. They're hanging out on the fan, sprawled across the floor, taking over the bed, clinging to the wardrobes, and even wrapping themselves around the door handle. Goodness! I can bet those goosebumps would make a grand entrance. Honestly, in that moment, I might daydream about having magical powers to command those clothes straight into their bags and neatly back into the wardrobe. Silly, right? No magical powers here..

So, to dodge this whole drama, especially as a lady, I've adopted a different approach. I buy only what I truly need, and when my wardrobe feels a bit too crowded, I play the lending game with my older clothes. Of course, there are always those special pieces you can't part with—maybe because they fit you like a glove or because they hold sentimental value as a gift from someone dear. Well, those treasures stay tucked away. Everything else gets a chance to shine outside or gets a one-way ticket out of the closet.

One day I called Dasola "hey babe I think it's high time you learnt the best way to handle these clothes and trust me it's going to be today"I spoke like a boss lady. She was eager and anticipating the magic I was going to do once I got there.

I stepped into her place, and her room resembled a chaotic whirlwind. She wore an expression of frustration. "Perfect," I exclaimed. "This is the ideal moment to tackle this mess." I shared the golden secrets to navigating the world of fewer clothing-related worries. The idea struck her as brilliant, and she embraced me warmly. Now, it was time to roll up our sleeves. I proposed the plan, so naturally, I took charge. "Oh, splendid, here we go again," I chuckled

I helped her sort out the necessary clothes and the ones she just doesn't need. The ones that are very much important were placed back inside the box but the ones of less importance we are of course lended out to people. That way she had an organized wardrobe with a beaming smile on her face and a hand on her forehead indicating that she was already tired of the stress.

This method worked like a charm. No more frantic calls to rush over and rescue her from the clothing chaos in her room.

Hey hey. I can’t help but ask, Did you attend KafArt? That looks like the background there and I was present. lol.

It can be really annoying with clothes and I experienced the same thing not long ago. You paired just right! It’s brilliant. And I love that Lacey skirt. Cute

Hello dear deraa!

I didn't attend Kafart! This is just a trade fair that happened in my school.

Thanks for all the love deraa.
I wish you a great day.

Haha, clothes and lots of headaches. I am glad Dasola has you in her life. That's super healthy for her. I have to commend your style of dressing. I am mostly your looks. You look very breathtaking, dear.

LEO Power Up Day - November 15, 2023

Ufff...and how disappointing it is to come home after what you describe and the room is full of clothes everywhere. It has happened to me a few times, when it takes me a while to choose what to wear to go out or when I simply picked up the freshly washed clothes but haven't folded them and put them in their place yet. I confess that I have put everything aside and leave it all for the next day. That's why it's not necessary to have a lot of clothes, just the basics. Greetings @zeegirl
