Fuertes coloniales / colonial forts
Hello friends, good evening to you, friends of Hive. I am sharing some images of a historical site which is located on the Atlantic side of the country and whose walls and structures tell stories of the era of pirates and corsairs.
Sites that were defense and places of protection of a lot of gold and valuables in colonial times, these are two forts that, although they were very common for those times, these were especially visited by corsairs who were very difficult to achieve their objective and this because they could be easily sighted in the distance and on the other hand they had a very good defense of cannons and thick walls which made it almost impossible for them to reach easily.
Today, just by looking at what can be seen in the images, we can get an idea of what these facilities were like and what their defense method was like in those days. One of these sites has been restored and the other is soon to be restored. Also, they are very interesting to know their history and to be able to appreciate how they look today.
The images shared in this publication have been taken with my mobile phone and are my own.
