I really hope that your day so far has been better than mine. It's not that any negative event happened or anything like that, but the rain and the cloudy and moody weather are such a pain...

It all started in the morning...

It was raining when I left the house to go to the gym at 9:00 AM, raining when I got back at about 12:00 AM, and mostly cold and cloud-covered as I am writing this post.

I managed to have a relatively short walk through the park and back at about noon time and while doing my walk I started hearing some weird noises around me. It was like something was falling out of the sky and cracking after hitting the ground.

When I looked around more carefully I noticed that there were a few crows here and there flying with nuts in their beaks and dropping them from something like 10-15 meters in height so the walnuts would crack and the crows would have access to the marrow of the nuts...

I got to say crows are fucking intelligent. I doubt there was ever any dying of starvation anywhere on the planet. Do you know what else they had on the menu today?

Shells...

The water level of the lake here is low again and that is because of the heavy rain we've had lately. Whenever there's a lot of rain and snow in the area the dam located something like 10 kilometers down the river from my town is opened(not fully of course) and that translates to lower water levels here.

So...

Shells have no damn legs to walk away, or tails to swim, thus they get left behind on the shore and these smartass crows pick them up, crack them, and eat them. I have taken several photos of what was left from such shells, but there were plenty of them all around the park.

I bet the crows, and probably the gulls as well, have had quite some feast lately.

This is somehow a sort of life lesson, to never worry about what's to come and see the abundance that is everywhere. Somehow there's going to be plenty of everything but we often times block the abundance with our excessive fight-or-flight behavior...

What a genius I am sometimes... Time to do something with my life now. I wish you all a great day and see you next time.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Its the first time I have heard of crows eating shells, I have seen them eat small animals and other things like seeds or even dog food but never shells, I guess I dont live close to the shore but I have seen them fool my neighbor dogs to eat the food, two or three stand at the fence making noise while they then take turns into the dog food, neighbor at times have to hide the food or put it inside, I told him to buy an auto feeder but he doesnt want to spend the $50, nice pics ✌️

Crows are smart as fuck...
