What could be better on a cold Sunday evening than a warm cup of milk mixed with whey powder? Well, maybe a long walk in the winter chill before coming home to enjoy that "high-protein" treat.
That’s exactly what I did this evening. Now, I’m back home, warming up before heading to bed.
For the past couple of weeks, the town has been dressed up in Christmas decorations. Honestly, it looks a bit better this way. The extra lights help disguise the grayish tone it usually wears.
Even so, during winter, this little town feels deserted. But starting next week, the expats will start coming home for the holidays, and I’m looking forward to it.
I enjoy this time because I get to catch up with old friends, and the town feels alive again. Sometimes, I wonder what this place would look like if everyone who left for a better life abroad decided to come back.
It reminds me of the good old days in high school when everything felt so vibrant, and we had so much fun. But I guess those days are gone for good.
