We can finally declare that summer has officially commenced, not only does the calendar say so, but the soaring temperatures do as well. We've been experiencing almost daily highs of around 30 degrees Celsius, and rain is gradually disappearing from the weather forecast.
I am a big fan of summers and relish spending time outdoors, which is why I haven't been as active in reading posts and commenting on Hive lately – I've been too preoccupied with spending time out and about. Since a friend of mine arrived at their vacation house for the summer and "officially kicked off" the vacation season, I've been on the move quite a bit in the area.
Yesterday, we headed to Kladovo, Serbia, a place that's familiar to many in the Hive community since I've written about it on several occasions. However, this time, we decided to try a different restaurant.
It wasn't the best dining experience, though... The expectations for a four-star hotel were somewhat lofty, but the food fell a bit short. It wasn't the worst either – it was somewhere in between. We did indulge in quite a lot of food, and following a popular fitness saying, if you couldn't control yourself at the table, at least try to walk off a few good steps to aid digestion and burn some calories.
After our meal, we took a lengthy stroll and I managed to capture a few nice shots of the sunset with my smartphone camera. I find the atmosphere in that small town to be quite relaxing, and it feels more like a vacation destination than where we are now...
They even have a beach! It's not sandy, and the water is the Danube River, but at least they have that... We don't have anything like that, despite being EU members.
Anyway, this isn't a complaint post; it's simply a photography-focused entry. I hope you all enjoy my photos, and have a wonderful day. See you next time!
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
