Earlier at around 10:15 am I was in the forest hunting for some macro objects. And of the several insect objects that I managed to photograph, there are two species of insects that I want to share in this post.
The first is a species of robber fly from the family Asilidae. As the name implies, this species of fly in the Diptera order is known as a reliable predator.
And from my observations earlier, this robber fly is very reflexive when a small insect crosses the area where it is standing. He was very quick to catch his prey like a hawk, even though it was not always successful but I lost track of the robber fly several times because he was flying to chase his prey.
The second photo is of a lily beetle or a beetle with the name Lilioceris cheni, which I found when it was standing on the grass. This beetle in the genus Lilioceris is a pest for potato plants, this is because the beetle Lilioceris cheni eats the leaves of potato plants.
Even though this beetle is a pest, the lily beetle is one of my favorite beetle species. This is because this beetle is not too easy for me to find in my area. In addition, this beetle is quite beautiful both in terms of shape and color. The combination of two black & red colors makes this beetle look quite beautiful and fierce.
