Today I again want to share the results of hunting for macro objects a few days ago and especially in this post I want to show several photos of moth species, there are at least five interesting moth species.
Moths are insects that are related to butterflies because they both come from the order Lepidoptera, but in my opinion moths have more different sizes & patterns so it could be said that moths are more unique than butterflies.
The uniqueness of moths lies not only in size and color but also in their shape or appearance, such as the long-horned moth species from the Lecithoceridae family which I have uploaded below.
Then there is a species of moth with a brownish white color that has a slight tear at the tip of its wing feathers, I think this is because the moth itself has escaped the grip of a predator such as a dragonfly. So this moth's wing feathers have a few tears. The moth I mean is the Phalaenophana pyramusalis moth from the Erebidae family.
After that, there is another cool moth with an X-shaped color pattern on its wings or back. This moth is a moth from the genus Dysgonia, of all the types of moths that I uploaded, the Dysgonia moth is the largest.
Then there is the tiger moth or also known as the wasp moth. The tiger moth is called because the color pattern of this moth is like that of a tiger's fur, while the wasp moth is called because the shape of this moth is slightly similar to a wasp. As for scientifically, this moth is the Eressa moth genus.
And finally, the rice moth, because this moth is one of the main pests of rice plants. This moth lays its eggs on the tips of the leaves of rice plants & after 7-10 days after laying the eggs the larvae of this moth begin to emerge and then enter the rice plants and eat them. The rice moth I mean is the Crambidae moth tribe with the scientific name Scirpophaga innotata.
