Hello Everyone.
World Kidney Day is a series of major about kidney health campaigns celebrated every year in almost all countries. This campaign is obviously very important to promote and educate the public to facilitate early diagnosis of kidney failure. Kidney failure has affected approximately 850 million people worldwide and caused over three million deaths. On the site worldkidneyday.org it is estimated that in 2040 it is projected to be the main cause of human death due to this disease. This is really very stressful.
Although access to health services for the treatment of kidney disease currently exists, health promotion efforts are the main issue that must continue to be supported to minimize the incidence of kidney failure. World Kidney Day is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of March. We are very grateful to be able to commemorate this event in 2024 and we do so in the first week of March. We invite the community of patients suffering from kidney failure and various people to participate in the World Kidney Day event so that they understand the importance of kidney health.
People suffering from kidney failure have a serious health problem and therefore need to undergo dialysis therapy to prolong the quality and quantity of their life. I am so happy and proud because since 2012 I have helped many patients who have kidney problems and now I have discovered many factors that cause kidney failure, one of which is an unhealthy lifestyle. Recently a girl is 21 years old and currently has to undergo dialysis therapy at the clinic. This therapy lasts ten hours each week and must be performed regularly.
This campaign is truly beneficial and has a clear aim, namely to increase public awareness and the importance of kidneys for our overall health. And also this campaign is an effort to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease throughout the world. We also hope that all members of the community will support each other for patients experiencing Kidney Failure so that these patients do not experience problems regarding their health. They are part of us and they are our friends.
What is Dialysis?
Dialysis is a procedure to remove waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys stop working properly. It often involves diverting blood to a machine to be cleaned. Source
