Key Largo has always been a place of serene beauty and endless charm. For this Wednesday walk I decided to share about my time on Key Largo beach. I set out to explore its shores, leaving behind the bustling routine of everyday life. The day was warm, the skies clear, and the bay water inviting as I made my way to the beach.
A Refreshing Swim
The first order of business was a refreshing swim. The turquoise waters of Key Largo beckoned, and I couldn’t resist. The water was perfect—cool enough to be refreshing but warm enough to linger. As I floated on the gentle waves, I felt all my stress melt away. The sound of the water lapping against the shore was the perfect soundtrack for a midweek escape.
Strolling Along the Shore
After my swim, I decided to take a leisurely walk along the beach. The shoreline stretched out before me, a mix of soft, white sand and rocky outcrops. As I walked, I took in the sights and sounds of this beautiful place.
The beautiful trees on a shore
The trees along the beach stood tall and proud, their leaves rustling gently in the sea breeze. They provided a patchwork of shade, offering respite from the sun’s rays. Some trees had twisted trunks and gnarled roots, shaped by years of wind and saltwater. Others were lush and green, vibrant against the blue sky.
Huge rocks and things you can find there…
Scattered along the beach were various rocks, each with its own story to tell. Some were smooth and round, worn down by the relentless action of the waves. Others were jagged and rough, their edges sharp and their surfaces textured. They added a rugged beauty to the landscape, contrasting with the soft sand and the gentle curves of the shoreline.
Now let me share some of the exciting moment that happened here. The Backer’s Cay resort has a contest, where anyone who finds a green pineapple hidden on the property would win $25. On our last stay we spent one and a half day looking for it! We looked it even while it was raining😅. This time we decided to just casually look around while going to the beach or on a walk. So, while I was taking photos of the rocks, I decided to look more inside and guess what I found? Exactly, our precious pineapple. I was so happy that, couldn’t believe I’m holding it. I grabbed my pineapple and ran to the kids and hubby. They couldn’t believe either. Kids were over the moon. I told them they can share $25 and buy something on our trip. My oldest one said he’s saving his part, and the youngest one bought different sweet snacks that she kindly shared with all of us. In the past the person who finds the pineapple would have to hide it again, but since last time no one could find it, the management of the hotel decided to hide it themselves. Maybe that was the reason we couldn’t find it last year, who knows….
Yay for the Florida Bay
As I continued my walk, I reached a point where I could look out over Florida Bay. The water stretched out endlessly, a vast expanse of blue dotted with occasional patches of seagrass. It was calm and still, reflecting the sky like a mirror. The bay had an almost meditative quality, inviting quiet contemplation and a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty.
Capturing the Moments
Armed with my camera, I couldn’t resist capturing the stunning scenery. The trees, with their unique shapes and textures, made for perfect subjects. The rocks, with their intricate patterns and colors, provided endless opportunities for interesting shots. And Florida Bay, with its tranquil waters and expansive views, was a photographer’s dream. Each photo I took was a testament to the natural beauty of Key Largo.
Conclusion
My Wednesday walk on the beach in Key Largo was a much-needed escape into nature. The swim was invigorating, the walk was peaceful, and the scenery was breathtaking. It was a day well spent, capturing the essence of this beautiful place and creating memories that will last a lifetime. If you ever find yourself in Key Largo, I highly recommend taking a similar walk—you won’t be disappointed.
